This is the 1st time I tried this restaurant. They offered a la carte menu and set lunch for lunch. Quality quite good and not expensive if you order set lunch, many choices to choose from. Worth trying. Waiters are friendly. Comfortable sitting areas and nice deco. I enquired whether there is a sushi bar, unfortunately there aren't and everything... More

I had lunch at Hal's with my mother today, and it was our first time at the restaurant. the restaurant was not too busy, we walked in with no reservations. By the time we left, all tables were occupied. The interior decoration was tastefully done, minimal, and stylish. the kitchen is open, so you can watch the chef (there was... More

Conveniently located so it is always full. Make sure you reserve a few days ahead of time. Lunch crowd mostly office executives though not cheap for everyday fare. I usually take sushi but see a lot of people ordering the curry which is rice and deep fried meat drowned in brown sauce. Service a little slow when crowded otherwise a... More

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
