We went for the lunch buffet and it was good. I've had better Indian food but it was decent. The price is a bit high but considering you can eat as much as you want it's not bad. We ate so much we weren't hungry for supper.

If you like Indian food, you must visit Jashan at lunch for their totally delicious buffet. Every dish was superb, I cannot find fault with anything on offer - tasty, authentic, quality, yum!! And a free drink is included as well, I think the all-in cost was around HK$130, amazing value! Very good service, efficient, no compaints. There is of... More

Great dinner... But recently did the lunch buffet. Come hungry! It's very generous in variety of flavours. For dinner we usually get the okra, biryanis, etc which are excellent.

Having lived in Hong Kong for years and now just passing through at least once a year, we always look forward to our Jashan fix. I have the buttered chicken with another dish. This time we ventured off our normal fare. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The crunchy vegetables were not crunchy and too spicy for our taste. The lamb shank... More

When you dine in HK, you realize service will be average at best and food prices will be quite high reflecing the property mkt/rents. With all that said, nice service and reasonable HK pricing is always appreciated--this hits both. Things to note: 1/ the butter chicken is like crack, super addictive 2/ their garlic naan really has flavor, many other... More

When my friends took me there i didn't except to have such an amazing and satisfying meal. The food quality, value for money, service were all fantastic. I had my good share of indian restaurants, but to me this was one of the best experiences , i loved every bit of it and i would definitely go again.

Whenever I have Indian food, I always compare it with Bombay Dreams which for sure is one of the best (famous and popular) Indian restaurants in HK. First time I decided to try Jashan which is a few minutes walk from Bombay Dreams and it does not disappoint. We arrived there at around 9:00 pm and seated ourselves inside. The... More

Bit tucked away - but it came recommended and it lived up to expectations - they catered to our dietary requirements and food was of a high quality and reasonably priced in line with other restaurants in the area - we had a lovely mixed grill, the chat was superb and the day was excellent. Not sure we could really... More

There are Indian restaurants that I go into because they happen to be nearby, but Jashan is one that I go out my way to eat at. I must have been to this lovely restaurant nine or ten times now and still i go back whenever friends from overseas are in town, or as a treat with my boys. The... More

Recognized as the best Indian restaurant in Hong Kong, Jashan went under a major facelift. Reopening its doors on December 5, 2011, Jashan is offering a brand new look with a menu that is set to impress. Located conveniently in Central on Hollywood Road, Jashan is now opened, serving up creative curries and sumptuous kebabs. Offering all the great Indian classics, you can now experience it all in the heart of Hong Kong. The world innovative menu is designed by Chef Asif. Hailing from the beautiful hillstations of Kodaikanal, Chef Asif has trained with the best under the five-star Taj group. He has worked in establishments such as The Park Hyderabad in India. Like his father who has mastered the art of Indian cuisine, this second generation chef has focused his heart in the fusion of contemporary Indian. After completing school in Delhi in 2003, he joined the Taj Palace and had the experience of serving high profile guests. He then joined a contemporary Indian fine dining restaurant in Dubai before coming to Hong Kong. Jashan serves a sumptuous lunch buffet daily, incorporating some of the restaurant’s favorite dishes. Pop by for an afternoon High Tea Set, offered for the very first time in Hong Kong. The lights get dim for dinner time and out come the romantic candles.Seating up to 75 guests, Jashan’s menu includes classic curries such as Chicken Tikka Masala and Chef Asif’s innovation such as Bagare Baingan, baby aubergines cooked in nutty Indian gravy, and the Patte ki Macchi, seared pomfret fillet wrapped in banana leaf that keeps guests coming back for more.

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
