It is indeed a lovely place.... first time here..... the waiter is rude and impatient.... really spoiled everything that this wonderful restaurant is offering. What a pity!!

The noodle bar is a part of 1949, a group of restaurants and bars set up in the old Beijing Courtyard style.. The Noodle bar itself is a tiny place with benches set up around the chef table. It would seat a max of say...More
The atmosphere there is nice. Modern on the inside and traditional on the outside. Not only is the appearance inviting, the food is also really good. Yes, it's a bit more than your regular noodle place. But it's a good place to take visitors.
Hand made noodles with different choices. You just note what you want to eat (self-service menues and a pen, simple as that) and watch the man make the noodles in front of you. It was good even if it was for me a new way...More
I've been wanting to ask why do they put items that they don't serve anymore on the menu? What's the point of that? A waste of ink? I don't care though. I didn't get what I was looking for when I ordered, and the waiters...More
We had noodles over here , they were excellent and it was good choice for our breakfast,we ticked off what we wanted to eat.The service was not that bad but i hope in future they employ english speaking waiters.over all i was good
The noodles are excellent and this is a great lunch choice. Having said this, the self-service menus where you have to pencil-in what you want to eat are not well designed as you always end up with requesting options that you cannot simply tick off...More
I went to this restaurant based solely on the excellent reviews I read on tripadvisor. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my food very much. First, there are currently more than 12 seats. They have several tables set up in the courtyard. All of the seating...More
Highly recommended, especially when it is warm enough to sit outside. A little bit tricky to find. Google map shows only 'Duck de chine' this restaurant is the next Building
The food was great. Mostly meat but good vegetarian options. The wild mushrooms are incredible. We had two servings of the fried tofu. Inside is a food bar setting and outside there are tables. The 1949 courtyard is a wondeful setting.
