Peking duck in Peking on your birthday with a good bottle of wine and a shared dessert-it couldn't get any better. Food and service was excellent

The dumplings are delicious and you can see them being made. The restaurant uses fresh ingredients and you can see the ingredients and the kitchen. Food was delicious. The place gets busy so I recommend that you book.

This restaurant was well above average for being in a hotel, catering heavily to Western travelers. It was "contemporary Chinese" but the food was attractive and tasted pretty good. Prices a bit high (as with almost all high end hotel restaurants) but acceptable.

The restaurant was beautiful and every dish was extraordinary. Highly recommended for dining. The Beijing duck was better than the other two famous duck places in Beijing.

There is something really wrong in the Grand Hyatt these days. Booked table, waited 20 minutes to be shown to table. Food was good, but the service is really off. The wait staff play hide n seek. And you really have to go seek them...More

There were 2 of us and we split the duck along with some dumplings and a few cocktails each. It was about 800 RMB. Fairly cheap for a great dinner/experience. We reserved the duck ahead of time to cut down on the wait.

Is the Peking Duck too much for one person or is there an option for a smaller duck entree? It's only me and I just want a small entree of Peking Duck. Since I have to make a reservation, I want to make sure the portion is not too much or it will go to waste. thanks.

I think half a Beijing duck is already a full meal for one person. I personally could perhaps eat also a soup but surely not more.

You could look at the website of grand Hyatt Beijing. Maybe they have it. The menu is very rich. You may choose any dish. I was never disappointed. Apart Beijing cuisine they have many Sichuan dishes!
