This place is living off its former glory. The grounds are well kept but the buildings are very poorly maintained. Bathrooms smelly and in need of cleaning. Woodwork broken. Carpets full of holes. Curtains dirty and out of character. Lighting neon and white all through. Crockery broken. Seems like the owners are milking it for all its worth - without... More

The gardens ARE lovely with the big trees and stream. With just a little thought the chain-link fence along the water could have been made to blend in with the surroundings... The tables and chairs need to be painted badly-it would not cost much for decent pillows or just covers (a clear sign that someone does not care..). About the... More

We are visiting Kentmere Club for over 30 years and always enjoy it very much. We love the old traditional clubhouse in beautiful gardens and a friendly service. For lunch or early dinner we recommend a table on the upper terrace with a garden view. At night the table by the fireplace is the best. It is good to call... More

Attending a wedding nearby we decided to sleepover at Kentmere for 2 nights. 1st night we had to switch rooms because there was no hot water. When enquiring about breakfast we were advised to place order as buffet was not an option. Fair enough we did and gave them 20 min to prepare it. On arriving at the restaurant we... More

We decided to take the drive to Kentmere as we had not been there in years as a result of the dropping of the food quality over the years. As soon as we got there the wave of nostalgia hit us as the grounds were as green and lavish as we had left them. We walked all the way to... More

Kentmere is merely relying on its history to survive. Stopped there for lunch and the menu has mainly meat options which also didn't seem appealing. The food ordered wasn't that good too. I believe the place has great potential if the kitchen can come up with a new menu with an addition to vegetarian food.

We went today for lunch and had a great experience. We've been before and both times the food was exquisite! The price was unbelievable for fine dinning cooking, from the madras curry, to the fille minion beef the food was incredible at a fair price! We had a great time exploring the huge garden with many beautiful and exotic plants.... More

We have been regular visitors to Kentmere for many years. We used to be members until they changed into a public facility, which has had the opposite effect to that which was intend, which was to attract more custom and make more money! The new management has changed so much which has unfortunately had the impact of turning the old... More

We stumbled up Kentmere on a day out visiting the Tigoni falls. Charming place with absolutely stunning gardens which we enjoyed for about an hour before deciding to go to the restaurant side and have a bite. The restaurant side was not the same as the gardens. It was crowded by cats, around 15 of them and it was quite... More

We visit Kentmere Club regularly since 1984, when we have joined as members. Up to about 2012 it was a member's club (but the day-memberships were available). Today everybody can enter. The Club is set in its beautiful garden along the Old Limuru Road. Driving from Nairobi, it is about 12 km from Ruaka corner, where Northern by-pass, New Limuru... More
