After a tiring day trip visiting the valley, we were done by 4pm and went to the banks to cross to the east bank for some late lunch. My wife suggested we take a stroll along the West Bank corniche to check for any restaurants. And then we spotted Tut Ankh Amon - a sleepy restaurant in the sleepy town.... More

The food was amazing, authentic and the best wee had in Egypt. We tried other places in Luxor and Cairo and the home made food at Tutankhamon was by far the best. Don't even get me started on the falafels. Wow. If you are going to Luxor make sure you visit Tutankhamon's. I am vegetarian and Mohammed had always something... More

Came here for New Years Eve Dinner, and wasn't disappointed. Due to Egypt's lull in tourism recently, we had the entire place to our selves, and were seated on outdoor tables by the nile rather than on the roof, which was under some construction. We had the daily special of chicken curry with apple banana and raisin, and it was,... More

Good Egyptian food with a gourmet flair. The service was friendly and the view is wonderful. My taste in foods however runs very different from the usual Egyptian cusiene but this was good. The only thing I didn't like was a wait. We were hungry and we almost thought they had forgotten us. When the food came we were fine... More

A little gem of a restaurant on the west bank overlooking the Nile!!the food was exquisite cooked by the owner who was once personal chef to middle eastern royalty no grill basic seating but the excellent food more then makes up for it.

This restaurant is listed twice on Tripadvisor as both "Tut Ankh Amoun" and "Tutankhamon". Same restaurant. It is located on the West Bank nearby the public ferry (just to the south of the dock). It is the first of many restaurants you encouter which overlook The Nile. It is also the best of them. The owner was a chef at... More

No, not the kind from the 1970s - this is a wholly different proposition. Some of the best food I have had in Egypt and in one of the best settings in a shaded riverside setting on the west bank of the Nile. As others have said, the portions are large, so go there hungry and with time to enjoy... More

My husband went for his morning jog in town and met the owner after a great chat we returned for our lunch to sit on the west bank of the Nile overlooking the docked feluccas and watching the river taxis. Mahmud (Ihope that is how to spell it) was friendly and suggested the chicken curry with banana and apples, a... More
