This restaurant is built at the place where the owner stated his sidewalk business of Koshari and it grew to be a famous place. The food is very good as the mix of ingredient has been perfected. It's a good experience, it is dirt cheap and it fills you up. Also try the rice pudding.

My friends from Cairo said this is the best place for koshary - a must when trying the flavors of Egypt. The waiter was nice and the koshary, delicious. Easy walk from Egyptian Museum if you're okay with crossing that crazy street. An nice Egyptian man helped us weave through the cars to the other side of the street.

While in Cairo, Egypt you must try this dish at this place. I love to call it carbs on carbs, but it also contains protein. It's vegetarian dish, so everyone should be okay with it and the ingredients go like this: Rice Pasta Chickpeas Fried onion ( to make it crispy) vermicelli Tomato sauce Hot sauce Garlic and vinegar sauce... The many people I met in Egypt told me that Abou Tarek is the best Koshary in the whole country, and I can see why! The koshary is indeed amazing and it's very cheap, the Koshary and a bottle of water was only 23 EGP!
