We were asking for drinks menu and they told us we don’t, we ordered 2 whiskey sour what we got was whiskey with lime juice, after showing the waiter how a whiskey sour should looks like he just told us we make it differently, I...told him if he would have a menu I would already noticed that they don’t a clue about decent cocktails.... Finally the check - we had to pay 220LE net for a cocktail which wasn’t worth the name and they dare to told us our mistake as we didn’t ask for price !!!!! Never again!!!!More
Very nice atmosphere, simple and good meals, plenty of booze, for awaken locals. Sometimes noisy. An island in Zamalek.
Stopped in for an early dinner and drink. Sangria was very good and also on special. Food was very tasty but did take a while to come.
Very bad service from the moment we arrived. My friend booked a table for 10~12 persons and she made a deposit to ensure that the booking is done. First the table they offered was for six persons only. And they couldn’t accommodate the whole group,...when we asked to be divided among two tables they refused saying that the whole place was booked!!! Two of us went to have drinks at the bar area and they were kind of kicked off from the bar for the bar tender told them that the chairs they are using are booked and he gave them this unwelcoming look all the time. They were so late in brings us our orders and again in delivering the receipts for us. Terrible manner and behavior. All of the working staff over there are so rude and unprofessional. Please don’t go to this place. In addition to that it’s a very small place with power ventilation. Awful experience which I don’t want others to go through...More
I came with a group of friends visiting from abroad and we were charged $28 (450LE) for a SINGLE Black Label with ice. Unbelievable. As there was no drinks menu we were unaware of how much it would cost until the bill came. I had...visited Pub 28 the week before and the prices were fine, so I was shocked to see that a single drink could cost so much and I am sure the staff must have made up the price. I felt awful for taking my friends to this overpriced place. I will not be visiting again.More
Just been to the museum so I popped down to see this popular place. It’s hard to find so open your eyes but when you do it’s a good find. It’s cosy, clean and well managed. Prices are reasonable for food and drinks. I got...a seat at the bar between 2 groups of British and some business men who came to watch a Liverpool match. Bar man was excellent and the food put out looked really tasty and good helpings. You need to be able to withstand smoke so be prepared. It was a Saturday evening 6ish so nice crowd and not jammed. No loud music either. Mixture of couples and singles. Will be back.More
I wasn't sure the pub was open as the main door was shut. A gentle push led me into what could easily pass for an English pub Even at 4 p.m. it was busy I was quickly guided to a table and presented with a...menu I ordered a Sakkara whilst choosing the food. Lots of choice The waiter suggest short rib but at 4 p.m. that seemed a bit much. I went for chicken in a basket. Breaded, fried chicken with fries My Sakkara came with a dish of very nice cucumber pickles The chicken and fries were excellent. The chicken thin and very succulent. The fries hot and crispy I shall be back for the short rib Service was very goodMore
A very chilled out pub to hang out and people watch the locals. Good food, little expensive. You’ll need a reservation on the weekends, although if you’re a foreigner it is not easy to find a number to call and reserve. So good luck!
I wouldn't peg a place with a name like "Pub 28" to have great Egyptian food. However, their grilled half chicken was excellent, as was their eggplant appetizer. There is smoking permitted inside though, so be aware if you are sensitive. We went early so...the smoke was at a minimum. Seems like a popular place to drink scotch!More
