I was so happy to see how vegan friendly Vatos is. My first trip I got the vegan tacos, which were really good, fyi they are small so definitely order 3 if you are hungry, instead of 2. The hot sauce that comes with the tacos adds so much flavor. My second time I ordered the vegan burrito bowl. This... More

This restaurant is perfect for a fun meal out with friends. It has a great atmosphere, albeit a little loud. You have to try the kimchi carnitas fries. Delicious! Their drinks selection is great and there is something on the menu to suit all tastes. Dishes are on the smaller side but always end up being filling enough.

Four of us for lunch another recommendation to Vin and another winner! A selection of tacos (3 each), a large salad of leaves, cranberry, Gorgonzola and apple. The salad utterly refreshing after 3 days in Korea. Included a couple of soft drinks. 63,000Kwon ie approx $AUD63. Very smart but friendly service. It appeared all waiters spoke good English in addition... More

I've been here a few times and I really like the vibe and the food is delicious. A little spendy though.

Couldnt have been more impressed. Excellent service, margaritas as big as your face and baja fish tacos. The kimchi, carnitas fries were fairly impressive. The tequilla honey wings will make the trip worth while. More than anything else the bartender from california was great. Knowledgeable and attentive. I cant rember his name but he was awesome. This is in the... More

Very easy to find on main strip. They love there taco's over here. A bit of a wait only 5 minutes very busy place. Service is super and fast. Chips and red sauce spicey. Food is awesome we had taco and burritos everything was top notch. Not surprising this restaurant is rated in top 10 in Seoul.

Let's get one thing straight, this is not Mexican food, it's some sort of fusion. When I walked in I could tell this was a popular place. It has the atmosphere that a younger crowd would like. Let's get to the real reason people read reviews...for the food. I got the spicy shredded chicken tacos while my wife got the... More

We were told we would need reservations, but we went on a Monday around 4:00 and got right in. Margaritas, tacos, guacamole, salsa...need I say more? And its in walking distance to Yongsan Army Garrison. For background on why I gave 5 stars...we live in a country currently with very few Mexican food options. I'm not sure what I would... More

I really like the vibe at vatos. The food is good as well! But I do feel like it's a little bit over priced, also the line is super long during dinner time

Did not expect much so far from Mexico--but soooo tasty! This was not a disappointment. Clean sleek interior, nice servers, English menus and amazing taste. Even splits the bill.

Staying in Itaewon

Neighbourhood Profile
Itaewon
Neighboring the immense Yongsan American Garrison, Itaewon was once shunned by locals as a seedy, red light district. But within the past few years, Itaewon and its surrounding neighborhoods such as Kyunglidan and Haebangchong have undergone a major revival to quickly become one of Seoul’s hottest areas. Here, trendy international restaurants dot the area alongside hip lounge bars and some of Seoul’s hottest club venues. After dark, Itaewon comes into its own as one of Seoul’s top party scenes. The crowd is a fascinating patchwork of all backgrounds and identities, including a small but thriving Muslim community (centered on Korea’s sole mosque), the LGBT community (with a string of popular bars and clubs), and a wide range of ethnicities and cultures scattered around. Those seeking a quiet respite should head towards the eastern end, in Hannam-dong, which not only has one of Korea’s best art museums, the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, but plenty of mid-range to upscale restaurants and cafes.
