After receiving multiple recommendations to try this restaurant out, we arrived at 12:15 pm during the lunch rush. There was a queue of about 10 - 15 people before us, but to our delight, we waited for a mere 5 minutes. This restaurant is huge with an abundance of dining rooms and tourists. We ordered the black chicken ginseng soup... More

We were going there for lunch and had a hard time finding the place. The taxi driver pointed to the wrong direction (not sure if he did it on purpose) and we ended up searching the place for about an hour. The other restaurants located inside the alley is either closed or not suitable for kids. My preschooler was whining... More

This place is as well run as any typical popular touristy restaurant. There are also many Korean-speaking eaters who frequent this place it seems. The soup is rich and flagrant, without being too strong of ginseng. Chicken is tender but small, so very little meat if you are a big eater. Everyone sits on the floor at rows of long... More

We went there for lunch after visiting GyeongBokGung. Expecting a queue but surprise! surprise! we're the first in line although the restaurant was quite full. We're shown to a table in one of the small buildings. We got to remove our shoes and sit on the floor for the meal. We ordered 1 samgyetang (white chicken); another samgyetang with black... More

I went to tosokchon around 10.30 A.M for a brunch, sites say they open at 10 A.M. and it already packed with tourist and locals. But luckily there are no lines when we came, consider they just open for 30 minutes. we ordered 1 chicken ginseng soup and 1 chicken wild ginseng soup also 1 seafood pancake. The broth was... More

As we were on our way to Tongin market for lunch, we spotted a long line outside this resto. After our afternoon tour of Gyeongbokgung palace we went back to see the long lines gone so we came in for dinner. It certainly did not disappoint! We (3 people) just ordered Samgyetang and Pajeon but we were filled! I also... More

The place is a 10 to 15 minutes walk from the front gate of the Gyeongbokgung palace. Restaurant is huge but quite a number of people go there especially during lunch so unless you're willing to wait.. best to go there a bit late.. we arrived at around 2 pm and there's still a queue of 8 people before us.... I can see why there's such a long queue for the place both by the locals and the tourists. The restaurant is nicely set out with different eating rooms. Service is efficient and the soup came steaming and tasty. It was a good spot for lunch after a walk around Gyeongbokgung Palace.

We walked here after visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace and had a tasty lunch. It is on a side street but if you look for the sign in the photo it is easy to spot. The line was about 20 people long but moved very quickly. The menu (and accompanying instructions) is in English with photo illustrations. Be sure to spot the... More

This restaurant is right by the palace so there are plenty of tourists waiting in line for the ginseng chicken soup. It was my first time there and I enjoyed the food. Next time I would try other restaurants to make a comparison..
