Good location and cheap. But the food was pretty tasteless. So wouldn't recommend it of you are looking for great food.

Our favorite meal in six days in Bogotá. The food was good—especially the seafood crepe—the staff professional but personable, and the space itself was a joy to be in. If you're in La Candelaria, I'd prioritize a meal here!

Initially drawn to the 2 for 1 happy hour drinks, then lured in by the super quirky atmosphere (decorated with a universe of mythical creatures like goblins, trolls, elves, fairies, etc.), I stopped by here for an afternoon cocktail. The sanalejo cocktail (which sadly did not qualify for happy hour, but was actually plenty for two) had five liquors (tequila,... More

Stopped here after the gold museum. We sat in the room to the left of the entrance, which had a wood burning fireplace. Nice on a rainy, cool afternoon. The waiter was very helpful and the food came out at just the right speed. I had the the Colombian seafood stew and it was excellent. I highly recommend this fun... More

I decided to check out this place over a couple of other restaurants nearby because of the Trip Advisor banner outside. Walking in I was reassured by the attractive, cozy interior. The service was friendly and efficient, and the menu was extensive, as hindsight probably too extensive. I ordered grilled sea bass and for a side dish fried yucca. The... More

We've found the place by accident and decided to have a meal. Fresh regional dishes - delicious, but also a selection of more international options and drinks. The Ajiaco soup was fantastic. However it feels a bit touristic inside, not a spot to meet local people. English menu available.

I went here with my wife as we were looking for a place for a late lunch after visiting nearby Monserrate; I was looking at the TripAdvisor app on my cell and couldn't seem to find much nearby (though that may have been because of a poor data connection) and then we walked past this place and thought it looked... Eating out on a working day in Bogota can often end up to be stressful with the restaurants being full of people, noise and slow service. Sanalejo is however an exception with its quiet, cosy atmosphere and pleasant service. The food is excellent with a variety ranging from typical Colombian to mediterranean dishes. This is one of the few restaurants... More

Took 3 friends to dinner as a thank you treat. And it was a treat. Not the cheapest place around however the food was very good Colombian cuisine. My friends, all from Bogota, enjoyed it too. And the service was very good.
