We went tot la casona on Christmas Eve. The food was excellent, the service was excellent. We had an amazing night even though we couldn't spend it with our family in belgium!

We had dinner there on our first night in La Paz, since we were staying at the hotel and it turned out to be Friday night, when the restaurant puts on a show. The food was ok but nothing out of this world. We shared a pear and Gorgonzola salad to start with, which was good although a bit small... More

I had the trout with passion fruit sauce, it's a salmon trout, perfectly cooked and the sauce was just amazing. The best salm trout ever! My boyfriend had the Placeño plato (la paz dish: beef steak, potatoes, corn and bean) and the meat was perfectly baked. The staff speaks English and is very nice and polite. Both dishes came at... My favorite restaurant in La Paz. They offer most typical dishes in Bolivia and interpret and present them in a fine-dine manner. I have eaten there twice during my stay in La Paz. Once with a friend and once with the mountain guides who took me to Huayna Potosi. The locals certified the dishes as being perfectly authentic and even... More

On our trip to Bolivia we went three times there (twice at the start of our trekking journey with a group of 12 for lunch and dinner) and the last time just we two for dinner. The atmosphere is very nice with a good lightening (!!) and excellent service (Benno is our favorite, very friendly with a good humor) and... More

We have now stayed at La Casona three times as we com back and forwards from trips. Exhausted after the drive from Copacabana we decided to eat in the hotel and the food was really quite good. Excellent steak and lamb. Nothing in La Paz is expensive.

We stopped for lunch while on tour of La Paz. I was an amazing culinary experience. The food was great. The pesto trout was the best fish I have ever eaten.

We had a lovely meal here. Service was good and the restaurant had a lovely ambience. After a busy day, this was a great spot to wind-down. Reasonable prices too.

Wow - the food is so expensive for what it is. You can get MUCH better food, for a lot less, pretty much anywhere else! I ordered the veg ragu and it was literally tinned veg taking up about a 1/5 of a small plate -tasteless and unsatisfying. I had to bulk up on the complimentary (stale) bread. My partner... More
