This restaurant is probably best known to locals as the best Armenian restaurant in Beirut. My friend and I learned of this restaurant through independent sources. Therefore, you know it has to be a great find. The interior of the restaurant is simply beautiful. Historical and elegant, yet warm and inviting. Most importantly though, the food was delectable. There was... More

The food, is both classical Lebanese and Armenian. Delicious. Service and atmosphere also very good. One star is lost by some people smoking, which is illegal and annoying and not being told otherwise.

Yes! Right in my top 3 restaurants for Armenian food (probably number 1). This time, I visited Mayrig for a late birthday celebration. The location is great and easy to spot, away from the loud nightlife of Gemayze. It's an old house turned into a beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor areas. The decor is simple yet elegant and homy.... More

I was visiting Beirut with my family and we looked for the best restaurants on Expedia, we picked few and this one was the first to visit. It was certainly unique experience and we really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and helped us selecting our dinner. It was excellent experience and we will certainly return.

This is where you take someone to impress them about what an expert you are on good food. Anyone who visits us from abroad, we bring them here. Anytime we want to have a big feast, we come here. The menu is so rich and made with love, really like the name says (Mayrig is armenian for Mother). Service is... More

This is a restaurant in Antelias in the Metn of Lebanon where you have to try at least once in your life. A big variety of Armenian platters that you can taste with your friends. The food is not so spicy but different. The service is excellent . The atmosphere is quiet and comfortable.

We weren't as impressed as other reviewers here. We ordered kebbe, salads and kebabs which were nicely presented but underwhelming and lacking in flavour. Also the cold, plastic wrapped flatbreads were a disappointing addition to the meal and a drizzle of olive oil on the hummus would make a big difference. Perhaps it's unfair to compare Armenian and Lebanese food... More

I visited Mayrig and I tried the armenian food. It is really home made food. The ambiance is nice and the service is good. The waitress can help to recommend items from the menu. Try it and enjoy

If you're fan of Armenian food, or you feel like trying something new, you can try out mayrig. It's one of the best qualities out there regarding this specific food. However the portions are so tiny and the prices ridiculous compared to the competition. I think you will enjoy a similar meal at batchig (same owner) for approximately half the... More
