Nice place to have Japanese restaurant. It is expensive, but a bit bad service. Food is good, but could be better.

Although I know Beirut, I have never heard of that restaurant before. The staff is very welcoming, friendly but not too much, kind and efficient. Fresh raw fish, nice presentation, some dishes quite good and very correct pricing. I’ll go back as we all enjoyed...More

We were a table of four at our second experience at kampai. Tasty food, good service and a not so bad variety on the menu. In comparison to other sushi places, the food is more flavorful but a bit pricier.

I was surprised to find a Great Japanese restaurant in Beirut. Food was very good. Prices are a bit high. Try the specialties. Nicely located in downtown Beirut.

Kampai is one of the best Restaurants in Beirut. As usual, the quality is unmatched. It's certainly worth repeating experience.

It's an attempt of being a sushi restaurant....I guess locals have no other choice...They are limited to the Real authentic sushi we have here in CA with a very Ltd fish selection & not a single Japanese in sight. Too many fancy names should already...More

I felt like I had to sell an organ just to leave this place full and satisfied. Their salads are very fresh and delicious but their maki rolls are just mushy. I couldn't distinguish between the different ingredients. It's a very fancy place not entirely...More

Description
Kampai is a Japanese sushi restaurant whose name means "cheers" in the mother tongue. Though most guests seek out Kampai for its deliriously delicious sushi, the traditional Japanese cooking (you know, the hot stuff!) Is also noteworthy. Don't miss the siu mai and gyoza dumplings-a few of these melt-in-your-mouth savory bundles, stuffed with your choice of shrimp, fresh crab, chicken, wagyu, or shiitake, will sufficiently whet your appetite for the subsequent course. Here, we recommend the Kampai Maksushi, an assembly of tender scallop wrapped in a lightly-fried panko crust and topped with grilled salmon. Perfection.
