Had an awesome evening at Beit Sitti - great food and just the right amount of participation. It was fascinating to learn the history of Arabic cooking and to get a few recipes to try at home. Everything we made was delicious. Great company too. A highlight of our Amman experience! Thank you :)

I admit it. I'm a sucker for cooking lessons away from home and our experience at Beit Sitti was a good one. Apparently, Beit Sitti stands for grandmother's house and that is the kind of cooking I enjoy. We did a delicious eggplant appi, a salad, a main course and a dessert. I learned some new cooking tricks (other people... More

We went as a group of 5 people for lunch. Our facilitator spoke excellent English and Um Hiba was excellent. The setting was intimate and relaxed. They show you how to prepare ingredients and you participate in preparing them. Recommend making Fatteh Dejaj.

We had a wonderful experience helping to make our dinner of Mouttabal (smoky eggplant and tahini), Farmer's Salad, Ma’aloubeh (chicken and rice), Pita Bread and Basbousa (dessert) in a group of about 15. They did a great job of having us participate in a meaningful way, while also moving the preparation along so we didn't have to wait. When done,... More

We went in a group of around 20. I had a bunch of people visiting from out of town and wanted to do something that was both fun and authentic. Not only did Beit Sitti not disappoint, we all absolutely loved it and still talk about it months later. We had Moutabbal (taking eggplant puree dish) and Msakhan (a traditional... More

We went as a group and joined other tourists for a total of 11 people. Our facilitators spoke excellent English. The setting was intimate and relaxed. They show you how to prepare ingredients and you participate in preparing them. Lots of humor in the process. We were already acquainted with and fans of Middle Eastern food, but still learned a... We were requested to cook our own food, under the expert direction of Ms. Deeba Dabis and the in-house wise Sitti. Quite an experience if you ask me. And the food was delicious.

Let me start by saying: I have kitchen phobia. I burn everything I touch! So I wouldn't have necessarily signed up for this on my own, but I'm so glad my friend convinced us to do it. The class was not intimidating, beautifully animated, and delicious. I not only learned a lot, but spent an unforgettable moment bonding with fellow... More

I loved this experience. My class size was fairly small which made it extra personal, and we learned how to make several dishes. The house that this restaurant is set in is super cute, and I loved the decor inspired by the owners Grandma. It really does feel like you're cooking in your "Grandmothers House" and I think that's what... More

A cooking class at Beit Sitti comes with a high recommendation from me and the friends I attended with. Deema and her team showed us an excellent time and taught us how to make some absolutely delicious food! It's a great way to experience the cuisine of the region as the family/community and the comfort aspects of Arab cooking are... More
