Heard of this place so much, finally got to trying it and was deeply disappointed. The place is beautiful and inspiring, an old stone house, and the books all around the shelves, I was thrilled... But: terrible service, medium food, just a great disappointment. Too bad, I will not be back.

Tmol Shilshom, as far as i know, was the first restaurant to combine food with books. Two years ago, the restaurant hosted the inauguration of my first book in hebrew, and it was very exciting for me. The food was good and all my guests were very satisfied.

This is a cute restaurant with dairy foods. It's a casual atmosphere and good for those who want to eat dairy ir vegetarian fare. Kid friendly as well.

It takes a little work to find Tmol Shilshom. Guided by a sign on the street you go into what seems to be an alley leading to a courtyard. And there you're dropped to wander left and right until you find the right iron stairway leading up to this bookstore turned restaurant. You can read the books over dinner if... More

Overall it's a nice cafe with a special ambiance ( it's also a book store), service is fine and i think vegans will find something that they can order which is rare in jerusalem and the choices seem interesting. I'm not vegan but i had the "murakami" sandwich which was very nice and i only wish for the chef to... More

We had a nice supper here. The portions are generous and very tasty. My wife had the shushuka and I had the trout salad. Both were very tasty. Also, try the lemon-mint iced drink. i was very refreshing. The best part was that it was right outside our hotel.

Tmol Shilshom has long been a favorite of ours, the food is always delicious, we love the atmosphere there and the service is almost always excellent. A number of months ago we had a less then perfect experience which I wrote about on tripadvisor. The owner contacted me immediately, sent a generous voucher and said he would discuss the issue... I love their food-- aside from being delicious and a good value, the presentation is always first class.

Tmol Shilshom is a great place for many occasions. A coffee in the afternoon, lunch or dinner, aswell as a drink in the evening. The food is amazing! Creative dishes, homemade breads, nicely presented on the plates. Some meals are even labelled vegan or gluten-free on the menu, for whom it may concern. The staff is always warm and friendly....
