After BeerBazaar, Manou Ba Shouk was my first stop in Israel, and first real sit-down experience. Mimicking virtually everybody in the restaurant that day, I ordered more than one dish so as to get a feel for what the offered, starting with hummus. The Zohan...jokes notwithstanding, hummus is ubiquitous, and great. My main course was a mound of rice, spices, and meat—far too much to eat in fact. This is the kind of place that no matter what your order, somebody within smelling distance is ordering something that looks better, and may even be. One of those spots worth revisiting, unless you are fully committed to sampling more places. But the atmosphere, the busy market, paired with the food, should be enough for most to make at least one visit.More

Proper food. Nice people. Good service. Fun place to be. Delicious syrupy cake pudding. Highly recommend and worth a wait if busy.

A group of myself and five friends were looking for a place to eat in the market! The market is extremely crowded and many restaurants/stands can't accommodate large groups. So when we saw two tables pushed together that could seat six at Manou ba shouk,...we ran for it. And I'm glad we did! The food was great! We shared: khidra (rice, minced beef, pine nuts, and chickpeas), hummus with meat, eggplant and falafel, and kubbe. Everything was great. The service was good. And we just enjoyed our meal together here. (And they have a bathroom! Not a given in the shuk!) Great Lebanese food, great experience.More

The people who own this restaurant are lovely. They made room for the six of us and made us feel very welcomed. The food was delicious! The roasted eggplant was amazing as was the semolina cake!

This was the second time we've eaten here. It is hands down the best restaurant in the Shuck area if not Jerusalem. The waitstaff was extremely helpful, the portions were large and the food very tasty. If you're looking for the real thing go no...further!More

The food and service was really good, we didn’t wait too much for our mains and the waiter also recommended some dishes to share. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
