Popped in for lunch whilst in the old market area of Jerusalem. Looked a bit 'earthy' at first but the food was truly excellent. Very tasty indeed in a 'basic home cooking' sort of Arabic way. Imagine the middle eastern version of your favourite local...More

Located in the Machane Yehuda market, this gem is a true visit to Iraq. Kosher and exotic, there are good selections for all. The atmosphere is busy yet the service is at your pace.

I’ve been here several times because of all the “hype” and I was disappointed every time. Perhaps it was good once upon a time, but those days have passed.

After strolling in the market we arrived to this restaurant at 2:00 pm. At this point most of the dishes offered on the menu were not available, The customer service was horrible, they simply ignore you, by the time the pita bread arrived our food...More

Friendly and fast (!) service, delicious Iraqi food. Everything on the menu is delicious. The prices are very reasonable. The setting is fun (in the heart of Machane Yehuda). There are two Azura restaurants, one at either end of the courtyard. They're owned by brothers....More

Authentic restaurant with slow cooked food. Special and tasty. The only downsides: might be challenging to find a table in Friday's noon, and they accept only cash.

Had late lunch here in the middle of an all-day Jerusalem private tour. Great authentic food in a place you'd likely walk right by. Colorful dishes bursting of flavors of all the local foods. Highly recommend.

I you travel in Jerusalem old city, you should definitely not miss this restaurant. Traditional home made middle east dishes, mostly Iraqi Jewish style. Daily prepared, Fresh and tasty food. Do not miss it...

I've visited Azura many times. The restaurant is located just outside the bustling market. Good ambience and nice service. They have vegetarians dishes as well.

I did not have a reservation. Whether or not the establishment takes and honors a reservation I am unaware.

Sabbath or not, they are not open in the evenings. Anyway, the food is finished very quickly (after 3 or 4 pm, you are left with "left over"). So I don't think there is a need to serve in the evenings.

Hello Simone. Sorry about the delay. II spoke with Nir, one of the owners and chefs of Azura. He stated some of the items gluten free: Sofrito (a long cooked stew with potatoes), Kima-a meal I personally had: very large... More
