I must confess that I didn't find Israeli food in general at all remarkable - and I like Turkish. This restaurant however had some different proposals, like tabule with octopus or lamb over smoked pumpkin and tahini ice-cream. It's not cheap and the place would never be called "luxury" but it was the high point in otherwise plain 10 days... More

A bit tough to find, but a find. Great food, friendly staff, innovative local menu. A great experience' if you don't mind the loud middle-eastern music and crowded tables. Prices were fine by international standards.

Cannot find the words to describe atmosphere and meals in Machneyuda! Amazing place full with joy and good food! We highly recommend polenta, shikshukit and fatush salad. You can also try fillet mignon. You need to have a reservation; otherwise, you will have a long wait for a table.

Loved, this place modern, fun and loud. Food was superb and service was attentive and engaging. Sit at the bar for a real treat!

We spent there a quiet evening in the stormy weather - and boy did we enjoy it. We had some really nice entrees with tomato salad, some really nice lentil salad and really great oysters. We also ate an amazing polenta with mushrooms and as main course a superb black pasta. Really recommend this prime-jewel!

Need to book the place for dinner. Friendly staff, open kitchen. The place with character, tasty! Not cheap, but worth speaking. Very recommended.

I was lucky enough to get a table at this restaurant since a reservation is the most recommended thing to do. Food-- what an experience the testing menu, at 265 NIS per person, was from beginning to end a sense of bliss. The mixture of flavors and presentations was so memorable that my travels have yet to offer me what... More

Due to a colleague in Tel Aviv who called in a favor, I had the opportunity to go to this amazing restaurant on short notice. My colleagues from New York and I enjoyed an afternoon exploring the markets in Jerusalem before making our way up the curvy street to Machneyuda. From the moment we arrived, our service was tremendous. We... More

Machneyuda is named after the nearby "Machne Yehuda" market and the decor hints of a Mediterranean market, but this is not a market at all. This is a top class chef restaurant that offers a unique experience that goes beyond dining. The place is decorated to look a bit run down. No two plates are the same. The lights look... More
