Having been trailing through the streets of Jerusalem on a Friday night in full expectation that we weren't going to find a place to eat dinner and then coming across Barood probably helps contribute to how much we enjoyed this cosy little restaurant but honestly, regardless of that, it's just a delightfully atmospheric place for a meal. As the streets started to empty on Friday afternoon it was a great treat to stumble upon Barood. Very nice atmosphere, friendly service. We loved the herring appetizer so much that we ordered two. Great wine

Amazing restaurant, amazing food (main and desserts) and Danielle is wonderful, never ate a Stufado like this one. Beers and soups are also great. Merci Danielle!

We were a couple with our son and his wife for dinner. It is worth looking for this place hidden in a typical Jerusalem alley. The atmosphere in Barood only exists in Jerusalem. Our daughter-in-law is a vegetarian and we are beefeaters. Everyone found something to his liking. We enjoyed it all, including the music. We will recommend the place... More

Balkan style restaurant. Interesting dishes originating from the Balkans, so if you are into it, you will enjoy various forms of eggplants, leek, moussaka, etc. The décor is nice but the place is a bit tiny. Still, it is worth the visit.

We just had a drink at the bar - good variety of beer and wine (and spirits), very friendly, nice music, cosy and buzzy - a lovely place to hang out. The food looked hearty and interesting too...

My favourite restaurant in Jerusalem! Has a very unique and authentique kind of old school atmosphere not to be found anywhere else. The menu is diverse and the dishes are made very well! Also a big alchohol selection. Very highly recommended!
