Went with friends for breakfast.. Everything was just perfect; view , food, atmosphere, and customer service. We almost ordered all kind of eggs but i loved their shakshoka the most, and assk-l memnu for sweets.

Do not miss the chance to enjoy your turkish eggs and excellent filter coffee here overlooking the beautiful calm blue waves. Just make sure you go early 9-10 am to enjoy a good breakfast before the place becomes busy.

We went here for lunch - the food was really good (I had a salad and my boyfriend some breakfast eggs and fresh pressed juices). Beautiful view on the Bosphorus! Nice atmosphere, quite crowded, better to make a reservation. We will go there again!

This is one of my absolute favourite places in Istanbul, and I try to go each time I visit. It's best to go outside of the busiest times (since there can be long waits), and to take your time sitting by the water, with a book in hand, enjoying a leisurely breakfast. The food is absolutely incredible and the views... More

Service is really slow. Waiting 20 minutes to get my order taken! A bit on the pricy side. View is fabulous

Have been to Aşşk Cafe many times. Pluses: location is very nice, right by the Bosphorus and the atmosphere is relaxing. The menu is rather big with good variety of food. They serve alcohol drinks as well, expensive, it is a general Istanbul issue - prices on alcohol are through the roof due to high tax. Minuses: a bit too... More

Staying in Besiktas

Neighbourhood Profile
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighbourhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
