Very much in home feeling, very good service good food... usually I have fish and never disappointed! It is not crowded, perfect for quite private dinner or lunch. Even though restaurant is by the sea, sea view is not very good but all in all I like the ambience wine in glass is not cheap, so I recommend to have... More

This restaurant is one of the few places along the coast line between bebek and asiyan. It is cosy and very nicely decorated to make you feel home. We had a late lunch there and the food was OK, nothing extraordinary. The service and the care of the master waiter was very friendly. It is good to know this place... More

Fell absolutely in love with this small cafe. The food is really good (yes you can find some dishes cheaper elsewhere) but then again, if you want somewhere far from the tourist scene then this is the place to be. The area is nice and quiet by the sea. Food is great, had the best home made jam and met... More

Stupidly expensive for an ordinary location like it. Why would I go and sit behind the walls again when the sea and the great scene is just across the restaurant? There are much better cafes w great food and scenes in Istanbul so I really find it stupid to go to this place just because it is popular among the... More

A small caffe/restaurant owned by a very nice lady. There is a friently atmosphere and decorated like a home living-room. It is an ideal place to pop-in for a coffe or a light meal after a long walk on the shores of Bosphorus.

This small cafe/tea house in Bebek is owned by a mid aged lady who decorated the place like a classy house: you have pictures of her children and grand children around, each table and armchair is different but go well together, she's always there to greet the clients. This is her charm which makes this small location so attractive indeed.... More

Staying in Besiktas

Neighbourhood Profile
Besiktas
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighbourhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
