The best baklava in the city! The hazelnut pastry was delicious. We sampled walnut and pistachio as well. Delicious!

Philo-pastry (e.g. baklava, shobiyet, etc.) desserts can be made rather terribly if there's inadequate dedication and attention paid to even the smallest details. Freshness of the ingredients, sweetness level of the syrup, dough layer thickness, etc. It is these distinctions that make the difference not just between high quality vs. average tasting sweets, but also are characteristic differences between Turkish... We were brought here by a Culinary Backstreet Tour of Istanbul (which i also HIGHLY recommend http://www.culinarybackstreets.com/category/istanbul/). I did not think I liked baklava before I visited this establishment. It was by far the best sweet thing I tasted while I was in Istanbul. They make a specialty baklava with a soft cheese that was ordered for us and absolutely... More

I went here with my wife and friends during a recent visit to the Asian side of Istanbul. We tried the baklava and a few other special items. Highly recommended.

I like baklava but find I can only have a small amount as it's very sickly, but the pistachio baklava at this place (I think it's called fistik??) was the best I have ever eaten! My husband isn't a massive fan, but he loved this too! We took a box back to London as we enjoyed it so much! The... More

Very very good kadayif baclava - far better than Hafiz Mustafa. Admittedly, not a fan of baclava in general as too oily and sweet for our taste, but something to certainly try whilst in Turkey, and this mum and pop store is definitely the place for it.

The best baklava you can ever have in the world. The rest. is handed over from generation to generation and it's highly recommended.

Bumped into this little joint in Kadikoy (they have at least another one close by). Filled a plate with different kinds of baklavas and kadaif. All were excellent. No frills place, just a takeaway store with two small tables. No english spoken, we just pointed at what we wanted.
