The ambience is extremely relaxing and cozy, even though the place is tiny .I loved every single detail, the jars with candles, etc. As for the food I liked their carrot garlic appetizer.Ellerinize sağlık.The waiter was friendly and helpful guy but the owner looked a bit disturbed and unfriendly though she told us the story of opening the place. I ve been there in... More

In Istanbul it can be sometimes hard to find a *good* place to eat. With street food everywhere, it seems like locals do not choose to go eat at proper restaurants that often. This one instead offers a nice atmosphere, right in the middle of one of the best parts of the city. The selection is not huge, but the... More

One of our best dinners in Istanbul, small, cosy place, feels like eating at a friends' place. Sympathetic service and excellent, home made, kitchen. We recommend.

Okay, you do not pay much to get a wonderful service but the service and the meal you get can not reach the a few dollars you pay.

Ambience and service was ok. Food was average but well overpriced. Istanbul has so much good food so we expected an something special when we saw the prices. We were let down.

During my two-week stay in Turkey, I was pleased to find a little row of restaurants on a side street near my apartment in Galata. This restaurant was a treasure - the menu changes daily, and everything on it is delicious. The atmosphere is kitschy and fun, and the staff is very nice. The food is cooked right in front... More

Excelent food, very nice people and warm atmosphere. They have dayly menu with tipical turkish food. It isn't expensive. If you order hot food they cook it really there in front of you! Lovely place, we finded it casually and it has been a beautiful surprise! Highly recomended

I spent 2 weeks in Turkey, 11 days in resorts, so I didn't eat in restaurants a lot, but in comparison with the few I ate in, and with the resorts themselves (which were very good) this restaurant was simply the best. Its just a small place, but with a very unique interior and delicious food, I recommend every tourist... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
