It is a clean and good restaurant with kind staff. However I am giving a poor review since the served portion for each meal was not enough, at least with the defined services of a restaurant.

Home cooked delicious food. The waiter spoke good English and explained all the available dishes. Everything was really well prepared. Very reasonably priced. We came back again it was so good

This is what you expect from a basic Turkish restaurant. Freshly prepared meals changing on a daily basis. The lamb shank was scrumptious. It is very affordable as well. Go there for a relaxed lunch. The waiter that welcomes the guest speaks good English. I...think it is still a hidden gem. Close to the grand bazar, so perfect for lunch when you are in this area!More

We went back here for lunch because it left such a good impression on us. In a city with no dearth of restaurants, that is saying a lot. You window-shop for food and pick the dishes you like. Few waiters could speak English. Good value-for-money....Clean but no baby-seat. Up a fight of stairs.More

We stumbled upon this place by accident but later realized it was worth it because the food was amazing and so was the host. We had meatball casserole that was soft, big, steamy hot, richly seasoned, as well as lamshish that was equally soft and...rich in taste. We also were served nice, warm, homebaked pita bread along with free Turkish coffee/tea for desert. Highly recommend.More

Opposite The Grand Bazaar, tiny very inconspicuous entrance. Food was fresh, service excellent. Amazing traditional Turkish food!

Food wasn’t that fantastic. Service is cold. Owner appeared warm but staff wasn’t that enthusiastic.

Aslan was recommended by more than one local. It's up a flight of stairs, so avoids most tourists. We loved the grilled salmon and sea bass. Fresh, well marinated.

Not far from the Nuruosmaniye Door to the Grand Bazaar and the fabled Nuruosmaniye Mosque and a bit off of the chic Nuruosmaniye Street there is a narrow glass door followed by a flight of narrow steps leading you to a beautiful square room set...in the 1960s Mediterranean decor. Aslan Restaurant is only known to the business folks in the know, where few tourists can ever guess there be such fine Ottoman Cuisine! Ottoman Cuisine is a mishmash of Armenian and Kurdish and Aegean recipes representing an empire that once was before much bloodshed and implosion from within. The location is excellent. The view is great overlooking an ancient alley. The decor is pleasant. The ambiance is distinctly Bazaari! The food was delicious. The service was flawless.More
