The interior is so beautiful! We ordered a couple of desserts, they were not so good. The next time I visit, I'd try out their main dishes. There was a woman sitting nearby the entrance and baking bread, so the visitors could get it freshly baked. This moment added a little bit of interest to the whole restaurant and was... More

Excellent service, good food and lovely atmosphere. It was a fun experience all around for the whole family. We enjoyed it so much, we are here thrice in 9 days and each time the food and service were consistently great. The decor is Cappadocian and aitring on the cushions is a lively experience - although regular table and chair seating... More

I found that place after taking a walk down from sultanahmet (Blue Mosque).. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, traditional food but not that delicious.. They serve alcohol with a nice way.. Recommend it for tourists.. Must go!!

I have to say that our visit to the restaurant was totally by chance... I didn't look for it... We where walking in the area and we where really hungry. The design of the restaurant really good.. The staff is welcoming and polite. The food is good .. But sadly do not meet the expectations and the price. Not that... More

I had gone here for an impromptu meal, and having wanted to try a good doner kebab, I settled for that. I was happy with it, and had a glass of wine, too - not knowing it's very un-Turkish. 30 minutes later I brought my group of conference co-speakers in, and was immediately crowned honorary sultan, given free pancakes and... The restaurant is indeed very authentic! The Turkish lady making Guzleme (traditional flat bread) is a great addition to the interior setting. Our children enjoyed watching her make bread. They also delighted in wearing the traditional head cover and turban. The food was quite good, we ordered a variety of dishes and couldn't fault any. The waiter was very helpful... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
