Went there twice during my last visit to Istanbul - the staff are friendly and the food is excellent. I can especially recommend the cold starters.

Tasty food but not much atmosphere because the restaurant was so quiet due to recent events sadly. Nice friendly service and the place deserved more customers.

What a great little place with fantastic food. Shrimp to start and then the Turkish equivalent of Tortelloni to follow (which was half way between Italian Tortelloni and Polish pierogi. All served with a smile and great vibe. I expect this place is packed out for dinner. A definite need to try if you're near Taksim.

We love going Dai Pera when we are in Taksim. Just to have wine or a beer even we are not eating anything... Meals are delicous, prices are good, service is good, if you want to try traditional Turkish food with great taste add Dai Pera to your must to do list.

It is my third time in Istanbul and i dare to say that this was the best restaurant i tried ever here. There was no plate that i could say i didn't like. Highly recommended the taboule and the beef stew with aubergine puree. The place was very nice, clean and well-decorated. The service was normal and decent. I will... More

Recommended by the hotel, we weren´t very surprised by this small restaurant. Once the food was served, we were blown away. The server was cocky and said EVERYTHING was amazing, but it actually was. Traditional turkish food. LOVED IT.

So far the best place I've been for dinner in Istanbul. The place is small and u need to book. The menu is extensive and has Turkish food with strong presence of vegetarian choices. Prices are very reasonable. We had 3 starters (14 tl average ).mains are also very interesting and options from 23tl to 45 and the wine is... More

We came here on Xmas nite and were very disappointed. The place was full of tourists. Service was terrible, just one waiter. The food was boring and not very good. The fava beans were good, but everything else was poor (too much sauce and boring). Skip this place and go any other place that you can find. There are lots... More

We are terribly sorry that you were disappointed about our restaurant especially on Christmas evening. We are serving since 6 years at the same place and yes we are preferred by the tourists as well and this does not make us a non - authentic or a "touristic" restaurant. Also on Christmas night we were 3 people waiting for the... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
