Located very close to 2 iconic buildings of Istanbul, this cafe provides a direct view to them. While walking in the busy area, it is not unusual for people holding menus to attract customers to the their restaurants. That's how I got lured into this particular place. We orders drinks, which were nice and cold. The sea bass was well... More

We'd just gotten into our AirBnB apartment and were famished. As we walked around the area, the "commissionaires" were out in full force enticing us into their restaurants and we somehow picked this one. They had us go to their top floor which had very good views of the AyaSofya and the Blue Mosque. The food was very good as... More

On my recent visit to Istanbul I enjoyed the company of all the staff and Panda the cat at this great cafe. There is nothing like a warm greeting and a smile to welcome you particularly when travelling alone. There food was always delicious and nothing was any trouble to prepare but as with any business it is the staff... More

I made many visits to Bodrum for drinks. The guy advertising the place (the guys in front) was very friendly and managed to lure me in. I was not disappointed. There was no catch - everything was as he had promised. I enjoyed the experience and returned everyday for drinks.

We stopped here for simple sandwiches/wraps. The were dry, no sauce, and not tasty. Price us double from other smaller vendors. Walk a little more and get better quality food and cheaper.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
