Went for a dinner on a Saturday night and the Concierge at the Four Seasons ensured we got a table at short notice. This place has a stunning outdoor seating with views overlooking the Bosphorous and our dinner was a truly memorable event. Had tuna...tartare for starters and the grilled sea bass for the entree'.
By the time dinner wound up the downstairs portion was heating up for the evening of dance & music. We did see the nightclub and the crowd was very very hip but too tired after a long day we wound up. All in all a superb place and wouldn't mind going there again. Manager was very very friendly and helped us out to a table very quickly and staff was also very attentive despite the rush.More
beautiful ambiance and food, a great place to spend an evening, come early to see the view, the restaurant is upstairs while the night club is below, both nice, the only point I like to make is that vaping is smoking and should not be...allowed indoors.More
I usually don't comment or give feedbacks but it is impossible not to inform every reader that Ruby Istanbul is the worst place ever: no health safety measures ( while they inform you that staff will take your temperature, that mask is mandatory, that they...will sanitize regularly the table...) no one took our temperature, waiters aren't wearing masks, the table wasn't cleaned a single time, place was overbooked ( you can't even move), and managers and all supervisors suddenty disappeared when we asked to talk to a person in charge as the lounge we booked and paid for, wasn't available... So don't give it a try even if you feel like going to a place listed among the most recommended and trendy place in Istanbul.More
Despite the fancy look of the venue and the menu, Ruby left me and my companions with a very disappointing experience. The worst part of the whole experience is the fact that the waiters at this particular restaurant take their job at waiting a little...too seriously. They're constantly hanging around your table, waiting for you to put the fork down and take your plate away without even asking if you've finished with the course. They take the liberty of mixing stuff from other plates onto your plate without asking if that's okay or not. However, that's not even the worst thing they did. Prior to going, I had also read other people's reviews on here that the waiters had charged them extra for things that weren't even ordered, however I though that that could have been due to a one-time mistake or a misunderstanding,
Not in the least.
It seems that adding on things that weren't ordered is a common practice at Ruby. Despite only having 3 glasses of wine (which were ordered separately, not from a shared bottle) the waiter had added a 5 year old Merlot bottle to our bill, in addition to the three glasses that were ordered. When we brought the issue up, the waiter just seemed angry and unhappily scratched off the bottle from the bill.
Although Ruby's menu selection and food quality is above average, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good dining experience. Everything is far too rushed and the over-all customer service is very lacking.More
