Cafe Amedros menu is impressive with great variety of appetizers and main dishes. Among appetizers we liked seafood salad that was served warm (a bit unusual, but tastes great). We tried also Pirzola and Clay pot kebab as main course. Both were delicious. Moreover, Clay pot kebab presentation was quite a performance. Another pleasant discovery for us was local red... More

Visited this restaurant on 7th February and had a lovely meal. The service was fantastic and very comfortable place to sit and people watch. Very relaxing atmosphere and well looked after by Tuncay, Muhammet and suleyman. Really nice that it offers outside heated seating area and beautiful fireplace inside the restaurant . Tucked back behind the Faros Restaurant, Amedros is a charming place with heated outdoor seating and a cozy indoor space. The food was delicious, and made after we ordered, so expect freshly made items instead of fast food. There is interesting art and a fireplace to occupy your eyes while you sip your wine and wait for your well-crafted meal.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
