We were taking our lunch near our residence location in the Turquoise restaurant, we have seen the see from the roof, we met nice people there and we were taking pictures with them. The shisha was so nice after our trurkish lunch. It was a good restaurant, friendly staff and nice view.

Came here for some Turkish tea and Kunefe. We sat on the terrace which had a sea view. Tea came swiftly however we waited a very long time for dessert. We came back downstairs as we thought that they may have forgotten about it but the waiter said it was still cooking and on its way. When it did come,... More

It is a really nice place for the romantic dinner. The kitchen is perfect, as well as the wine. Host and the staff are very attentive and nice. For those who prefer a cozy atmosphere, soft music and the smell of the real fireplace - this is it! I definitely will return here again! Recommended!

Enjoyed this place especially the friendly staff, no fewer than 3 different members of their team came over, introduced themselves to me and shook my hand, and were genuinely interested where I had come from to dine at their place (I was alone so not intrusive in the slightest). Brought me free humus and bread and even gave me a... More

The roaring fire drew us in on a very cold, snowy New Years Eve but we never expected the excellent hospitality or entertainment that came with it. Traditional Turkish dancers, muscisians, belly dancer and fantastic fireworks in the street. Great fun, great atmosphere, good food and wine and very friendly host and staff.

Lovely restaurant and the food was excellent. Highly recommend the pepper steak if you are in to the spicy side like myself. They have many local and European dishes to choose from so you will be spoilt with choices. The staff speak good English and always provide service with a smile. Sebastian the head waiter, extremely funny and very helpful.... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
