cozy place in the middle of the walking area in taksim, the service is quick, the tea is hot and the staff is very helpful with choosing your favourite sweets. unfortunately the coconut stuff i wanted that day was not available. Toilets located on the higher floor are very nice.

I tried this restaurant many times, and for different dishes type and many branches, for Kunefe at Ortaköy branch, breakfast in Ortaköy and Buyukada branches, lunch in fevzi paşa branch, sweets and coffee in mado kadikoy, and more, all these experiences were excellent, I highly recommend this place who want to try authentic Turkish food

MADO one of my favorite place in Istanbul to enjoy a cup of tea. I’m always start on the baklawa, a sweet pastry made of layers of phyllo dough filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with honey and turkish coffee. On top of that, they were serving cakes, puddings, candies, and dried fruits like figs and nectarines.

Mado offered a huge variety of sweets in a great atmosphere. The best thing was the Sahlep. It was light creamy and so good that i was willing to have another one. It was offered with a biscuit and cinnamon on top.

I was there with my family to buy some ice cream. My son who had cough wanted to try some samples before ordering. I noticed that the employee kept using the same spoon with various samples. I told the employee that he should not do it as it is public health safety issue plus I told him that my son... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
