Despite the fact that this warm and cosy restorant is mainly for tourists, the waiter didn't speak any English at all. We couldn't pass to him what we wanted, even for the toasted bread. Food is nice, a couple of vegetarian choices as well. At winter standing by the windows is nice and cold, since there is no proper isolation... More

Title says it all, cosy little place. Pretty cheap. Owner is humble and makes you feel welcome. Turkish and French cuisine, very fresh.

Found this little gem when we were wandering around the Taksim Square area. The menu is extensive, the staff really friendly and the price very competitive. The range of vegetarian, fish and meat dishes should ensure that even the fussiest eater will be happy!

After a long day walking and discovering amazing Istanbul. We then we're starving and looked on Tripadvisor (of course) and the reviews of this restaurant looked interesting. We then went to check it out and i can be thankful enough to have gone there. Restaurant was quite and food great. So out of the madness and the noise that was... More

We came across this cosy little restaurant on TripAdvsior and we are so glad we did. Delicious food and friendly staff. A nice change from the many standard kebab style restaurants around Taksim.

During our 1st night in Istanbul we had dinner in Deep. It is a cozy small restaurant located in the hub of Taksim. Food was very good. Must try the cheese rolls and oat chicken salad

I hate to admit it but we both ordered the Deep Special Burger. We've been travelling for awhile and were in the mood for something from home. This was one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. It came with potato wedges and onion rings with spicy tomato sauce. It was so good, we will definitely go back again... More

Great cousine and staff! Norwegian Salmon was juicy and well cooked and Dolme was very good. Some interesting beers also.

We were pleasantly surprised. When we walked by, it was very quiet but we liked the look of the menu. We decided to give it a chance. The service was amazing and the food was exceptional - I love the tea and the eggplant was the best I had in Istanbul! Would definitely come back and definitely reccommend.

Thank Amber C

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
