Stunning night views over the river, ever changing lights on the bridge - the were the background to equally stunning food and wine. Service could have been more attentive to begin with but overall fantastic place for fine European dining

We had the degustation 6 course meal each 145 tl without wine 225 tl with. Excellent meal with wine to accompany. Not cheap by local standards but great value by international standards. Fantastic view of bophorus and lovely ambience with music. Romantic and stylish.

We visited this restaurant on our last evening in Istanbul, we nearly didn't go in as there were a number of Turkish Men shouting at us from the pavement the night before to come in which was unnecessary and cheapened the feel of the restaurant. It was our wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed. The restaurant has a superb view... More

Overall AMAZING food and had both degustation menu's, the Ottoman traditional and Modern innovative. Abit pricey but worth it! With a great view and great service. A restaurant to definitely visit again. Highly recommended!

The food here is excellent. We got the degustion menu and it was AMAZING, although the food was good the prices were a little high. This little place is on the bosphorus and it was right down the street from our hotel (CVK park bosphorus), which was a plus. The degustion menu (with wine) for one person was an astounding... More

A very smart restaurant overlooking the Bosphorus. The food was modest in quantity but good on flavour and well presented. Looking around we could see some hearty platefuls going to other tables but I guess we ordered the wrong dishes (size-wise). Shame as I was very hungry. That said it is a great restaurant with some of the best views... More

Beautiful view of the Bosphorus, and unbelievable food! We were always surprised at how fast the service is in Istanbul, but it wasn't as if we were being rushed, just that all were very attentive. Everything the four of us in our group at was delicious! Pricey, yes, but if you are looking for a special meal, great food, with... More

The visit at Topaz was the best culinary experience I had. The food was perfect, the best risotto I ever tried and best seafood. The service was perfect. I liked very much the music and the atmosphere of the place - quality guests obviously enjoying their evening. I noticed a group of people, maybe a corporate dinner, also couples, families,... More

This was the best meal we had in Istanbul and one of my favorite meals abroad. The truffled risotto was out of this world. It is quite pricey, but worth it. The menu offers a variety of modern and traditional dishes. The view is fantastic - so ask for a table by the window.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
