As expat resident in Islamabad we really appreciate this restaurant very much. It’s probably one of the best in town. Cozy atmosphere, attentive service, Hunza specialities, good quality and stable.

My friend invited me to this cosy place for a reunion lunch. I was a bit apprehensive being my first shot at Hunza style food. The impressive starter was fresh and crunchy. The main was a spiced-up Hunza style lamb karahi with some delightful vegan...options. We opted for sweet lassi and finished the meal with creamy latte coffee and the best walnut cake desert. Portions were generous and the ambience very commendable. A bit pricey though but decent, attentive and friendly service made up for it. Had a wonderful and truly memorable experience. Would highly recommend this unique restaurant.More

A nice restaurant serving specialities from northern Pakistan. Overall very good food and more than decent service. In the Islamabad sphere, this is one of the go-to restaurants

A good range of food which is well prepared and tasty. The place is quite small so it is worth booking ahead. It has some northern and Hunza food which is great if you don't like food too spicy. This is a great spot of...a top-notch Pakistani breakfast - we go there after hikes in the Margallas.More

This wonderful little restaurant is a real gem. The food is past description: beautifully prepared and presented and wonderfully tasty with unique dishes that you won’t find anywhere else. The service is wonderful and the ambience fabulous for an intimate dinner or lunch party. Don’t...miss it! Except when I need a reservation.More

Liked the food in a cosy environment. If you like a little change, this is the place to go. Service is a plus point for this restaurant. Soups and some dishes can be shared. Prices are reasonable. Try the desserts, too, they are awesome.

A friend living in Islamabad suggested that we meet here as this is one of her favorite restaurants in town. The specialities are from the Hunza region and came highly recommended. I was not disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed our selection of dishes.

What a wonderful trip to Wild Thyme - a warm welcome and a truly different menu offering a fusion of exciting dishes drawing on owner Elizabeth Kannan's long connections with Hunza. I suspect this makes Wild Thyme a unique experience in Islamabad and for that...matter anywhere else too. Staff were very friendly and attentive and service was quick and efficient. My favourites were the beetroot salad, Quroot chicken curry and and handmade chahmus: apricot juice demo Hunza. Delicious!More

I, along with my 2 friends visited the restaurant for dinner last night. The idea was to try something different for a change. We loved the small cozy interior of the restaurant. The staff is very polite and cooperative. While deciding the drinks, our order-taker...offered tasting the apricot juice before ordering and we absolutely loved it. The food was absolutely delicious. Loved the roasted tomato soup with thyme served in a stone bowl. We ordered muntu, spinach ravioli, apricot chicken and can't really recall the name of the 3rd dish. We skipped dessert. But it was overall a great food experience.More

After hearing some really good reviews about Hunza cuisine we went to this speciality restaurant. We ordered all the recommended dishes but none was liked or savored by anyone of us in the group. They were dense, heavy and bland. As for the interiors, it...is small and simple. The service okay. The walnut cake was the only saving grace. Not going there anytime soon.More

Full marks to Chef, food was very good. We ordered chicken Doudo soup, Roasted veggies with grilled chicken and tomato salsa, Cabbage and apple salad, Chapchorou and Fries. The servings are of good size. Sauces and dressing served with food were delicious especially Kurut sauce...was too good. I will give full marks to Chicken Doudo Soup, it was the best, very tasty and my least favorite was appetizer, crackers/namak paray were stale. The menu is not 100 % hunza cusiine, most of the dishes are fusion of hunza ingredients and international recipes, which is a good thing to do to cater to multicultural guests. I like the use of brown and white colours in the interior, Interior decorator has been successful in replicating the look of traditional Hunza houses. Management needs to think about improving seating arrangement in the restaurant, current seating arrangement is too cramped and noisy. We were sitting in the middle so we couldn’t help but ending up listening to the conversations of guests at our left and right. I wanted to buy the traditional bowls and dishes but they were not available.More

On the eve of another business meeting in Islamabad went with two colleagues for dinner there. The restaurant advertises as Hunza Cuisine. Hunza being a mountainous region in Pakistan. Overall the food was good and the service was excellent. I had the roasted tomato soup...which was really good. I also tried the mutton soup from one of my colleagues and was also good. The apple and cabbage salad was ok. I also ordered the walnut chicken which looked (and tasted) like a mild green curry chicken. It was good but nothing to write home about. We skipped dessert but had excellent fresh thyme tea to seal off the meal. Prices are reasonable in international standards with started and salads 3-5 USD and mains 7-10 USD. Overall I would recommend the place.More
