This was my first time visiting Ulaabaatar and I only stayed for two nights. I chose this vegan restaurant as my farewell lunch after two consecutive days of eating big meaty meals. And I was so thrilled that I made the excellent choice. What a gem - a nice quiet and warm place. I tried the sea buckthorn hot drink... More

Following a morning visit to Gandantegchinlen Monastery I had lunch at this delightful cafe within a Buddhist Center. It was clean, service was swift and friendly and the menu was extensive.

Before visiting Luna Blanca, remember one thing - you are in Mongolia. A country where the traditional herding lifestyle means the diet centres on meat and dairy. Understandable. When it's -35 and you're working outside, a fresh avocado salad is just not going to provide the required amount of energy to keep you warm. However, you will be surprised and... More

This was a great vegan restaurant. Good prices and delicious food! I had the kimchi jigae stew, a smoothie and the chocolate mud cake for dessert. Amazing! Good atmosphere and great service too.

This place is amazing. It's cheap and has some really high quality food. Especialy before or after a tour through Mongolia I recommend it, because normally you get tons of meat to eat.

Me and my boyfriend went here to check out the vegan food, as we like to try different sorts of food. When I got there the waitress immediately brought me a cup of hot water for my hiccups, it was really kind of her. She also made excellent recommendations for what to eat. We had the Mongolian combo plate, which... More

After eating a lot of meat and heavy meals this restaurant was a relief to digestion. We went as a large group and they were very accommodating. A huge menu to pick from and hard to decide between. Everything was delicious and fresh. Everything reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Description
To find us: Go to our website for map directions or type "luna blanca restaurant" in a google search.Founded in the Spring of 2008 by three Mongolian women dedicated to promoting healthy and compassionate living. Serving a savory menu of Asian, Western and Mongolian cuisine, all foods are 100% Vegan (no animal products of any kind are used). Many of our ingredients are home made including items such as vegan mayonaisse, hot sauces, vegan mock meats, several types of dumplings and so on. From the onset, the restaurant has been run in a manner that is not profit seeking, choosing instead to pay relatively good salaries, engaging in community outreach and philanthropy, while keeping prices as low as possible and serving high quality ingredients. Luna Blanca Restaurant is smoke and alcohol free. We are child friendly with high seats and a special children’s menu. Special orders, catering, take-out are available. We have ample experience in catering and in hosting large events.
