Went there three or four times during my stay in the city. Tried lots of different items and everything was pretty average. I definitely wasn't disappointed, but I wasn't ecstatic either. The interiors reflect my view of the food. It's a good place to spend a couple of hours in the morning while sipping a coffee. Despite what I just... More

Glad you found our place a welcoming atmosphere to spend a few hours even though you found the interiors average. Sorry to hear you found our food average it would be good to hear what would make them a higher standard as we are always trying to improve. Thanks for your feedback More

Once I had had my expresso here, I knew it would be my go-to coffee spot in Vientiane. Sooooo good. In the morning, they offer you a free refill on single or double expressos, but I was already tripping from the first one, so had to pass.

So glad you liked our coffee, we have been working hard on making it the best coffee in Vientiane. We actually give a free refill on all large americanos (long blacks) and double espressos all day. But yes usually the first one hits the spot just fine :) But you can always settle in for a morning and relax while... More

This quant little cafe on the back streets of Vientiane could easily hold its head high in any major capital city in the world. We had bacon and eggs, scrambled eggs , fried eggs and the most amazing cappuccinos. Great service ,great meals and great price , we will be back , cheers guys.

The atmosphere at the cafe was really very welcoming! I had the fish and chips - a bit of a tradition with me, with a coffee from locally grown and roasted coffee plantation (from Luang Prabang, Laos). The servings were generous and of course delivered with a smile. We saw that they has an undercover kids playground at the cafe... More

Thanks for visiting us. We a very proud to be the only café in Vientiane serving a fair trade coffee from Northern Laos. Not only is it great coffee but it is also organic and gives farmers a fair deal. Look forward to seeing you again some time soon. More

We called in for lunch and I had the chicken mango pita which was delicious. My partner had fish and chips and he really enjoyed it. The coffee was the best we have found during our stay and we finished off with the newest addition to the menu which was carrot cake. Yum!

Thankfully Vientiane remains free of the homogeneous world-wide coffee shop chains and as a result places like Common Grounds flourish. Probably a little pricey by Laotian standards but certainly not by European this cafe serves excellent coffee and delicious cakes in a very cool (literally) interior with excellent Wifi. Shady outdoor seating also an option.

Thanks for your review. We keep our prices as though as possible while still providing quality western food, with quality, healthy ingredients (which makes things more expensive than street food). We find that everyone still feels that they receive good value in a great environment. Look forward to seeing you again soon More

I had a really good BLT sandwich for lunch here and just spent an afternoon reading my book with coffee and tea. The place looks really nice, has a nice interior and has a good selection of food and beverages. What else would you want!

Something for everyone one on the menu. The food is always high quality with an incredible selection of coffees, smoothies and juices. I can't get past the cookies, but all the deserts look awesome. Play area for the kids makes for a nice date with a friend.
