Very busy part of Vientiane, not far from park. Lots of different food stalls, mainly frequented by locals. Good food and very reasonably priced.

We walked in the park for about 2 h where there is a night market. Great for shopping ladies. My wife did a free Zumba trainee in the park as there were some Zumba training in the park.

One evening, we decided to take a slow walk from our Xaysomboun Boutique Hotel, round a corner towards the Khun Bu Lom Road and strolled down towards the National Stadium towards the food street full of local lao stalls, as recommneded by a rather kind female Laotian receotionist in our hotel.

With 2 large bottles of beer and 2 soda waters it cost aus$20. The second night we tried another stall and again had duck, a full one this time, BBQ pork ribs and... More

Checking the products, eating some local snacks, enjoying the atmosphere... the night market is getting better every year. There are now many goods from Thailand and China. The quality is bad and the price is high. But it is still interesting having a look around.

The street food stalls along the road were OK and many, the open-air restaurant in the market itself was expensive. Nothing to get excited about.

These are food stalls at the night market selling grilled meats, cooked dishes, desserts, fruits and drinks. Quite a big selection but we had already had our dinner. Bought some mangoes and sticky rice to take away.

Not just food but everything you can imagine was for sale here. Lively, fun and well worth a visit (or two) if you are in Vientiane!
