If you suddenly find yourself in Bishkek, be sure to go to the Frunze restaurant. It is located in the city center, next to the old square. A large two-story building that in such an interesting way combines modern design and authentic interior, paintings and...sculptures by local artists, national dishes and Japanese rolls, a wonderful cappuccino with delicate foam and milk chocolate.More

Frunze is a restaurant for fancy and big occasiona. Seems to cater for local elite gatherings, dinners and weddings. We had quiet dinner. Service was polite and waiter spoke good English. Salad was tasty, beetroot wrap with cheese inside was very good, yak-meet beef was...excellent.More

Best place in town. We ate there four times and you cant regret. Balanced menu that doesn't look either too local or too European. Cooked to perfection high end cuisine. Molecular cocktails. Attentive service with very nice hostess. We will be back

If this restaurant is in my US city, it will receive a 5 Star rating. All the dishes we ordered are delicious and well presented. Service is very good. Surprsingly, the cost is very reasonable for what you get.

Beautiful dinner and amazing show by the sommelier. Delicious food in a very elegant setting, served by the most gentle, attentive and professional staff. Although we came in unexpectedly, with no reservation, in our travelers clothing, we were looked after very gently and given a...superb table. Thank you for a lovely and fun night!More

This was our 1st time in Bishkek and we were fortunate to stay with friends who knew their way around, we wanted to pay back their hospitality and this restaurant is considered the best in Bishkek. We were not disappointed. The decor was old style...but good quality, the service was colloquial circa the 50s but very genuine which can sometimes be lost in overprofessionalism. The desire to please was paramount. The food was very good with a couple of real standouts, the beetroot ravioli and a non alcoholic cocktail. All other dishes were very good. The staff were very friendly the language barrier of no concern. A real surprise ..More

We had delicious trout with caviar sauce, a kind of foamy mushroom soup, borsok (good but somewhat cold) in this palace of a place. Live crooner music and plenty of gold decor gives a kind of Casablanca / Dallas vibe; plenty of artworks on sale...- a bit like the National Art museum. Still, because of the relatively low cost compared to a good European restaurant, that is, we felt the place deserved a 5. Service was attentive and in EnglishMore

Had dinner at Frunze with some friends. Calming fountain in the courtyard. Live music a mix of traditional and modern is played almost every night complementing the old-fashioned, classical atmosphere. Food was decent really liked the complimentary flatbread, service was reasonably friendly. Enjoyable experience overall.
