Yesterday we all went to Indian restaurant Shiva Shakti to have dinner. The food was very delicately, and the staff treated very well, And the service is also very good. Highly recommended 😊👍

They have a very nice ambience lighting with superfast service. Their menu is mouthwatering. I had tried chicken tikka and butter chicken & both are very delicious.

Walked in around 12:30 or so for lunch. There was a woman (possibly Indian in her 20's) seated at the reception. Just out of curiosity, I asked her what time they close for lunch, as it's common here for places to close for a few...hours between lunch and dinner. She gave me this confused and condescending look on her face before replying "at 3". I said alright give me a menu please......I ordered 1 plate of chicken and 3 types of bread which is plenty as I was by myself. As I was looking over the drink menu, the girl let it be known that I only have a starter but no main dish.....here's the thing. Just about every other indian restuarant there is, chicken kebab and full or half chicken are considered main dishes. Not starters. Feeling slightly pressured and very hungry, I brushed off her annoying tone and looked through the menu again. I didn't see any curries I wanted at the moment. So I added an extra starter. Once again she tells me that I have no main dishes, 3 breads and 2 starters. I was fully aware of this, I know what food I like and how much would make me full...I replied to her that i know i didn't order a main dish (even though like i said, plates of chicken are almost always considered main dishes).....she then goes onto say that 2 of the types of bread I ordered di not go with the other food that I ordered and she kept repeating that. At that point I was done giving her the benefit of the doubt of unknowing lack of proper self presentation, and i fully realized that this girl is just a sorry, rude, pushy and unprofessional employee. I told her that the bread and whatever else I ordered is exactly what I WANT TO EAT. I know what I like. Now take my order, I'm done. She gives me this cruel glance and walks away without saying a thing. She walks past one of the Cambodian employees, and as this horrible Indian girl walks by her co worker, she roles her eyes and mumbles something under her breath as th I make the Cambodian girl smile. At this point I completely feel that she is mocking me. The only thing that stopped me from getting up and calling her on the BS, was the fear she'd spit in my food. I got a bad feeling from her the second u walked in the restaurant. My experience only worsened from there....I do not know what was the cause of her nasty attitude. Is ordering 3 different breads so much of a hassle? Did I not order enough food? (A paid over $13 as a solo diner). Did she not like my face? Whatever it was, it was surely uncalled for......now onto the food The chicken tikka kebab was good. I enjoyes it. The poori bread was good. The paratha bread was so so. The naan bread was disappointing. The other appetizer I got was good. I think it was pieces of bread and potatoes dumpling like pieces soaked in yogurt, mint and sweet chutney, and topped with onions. I liked it. Other than that, the environment is nice. Has a classical historical feel to it......my visit here was made unpleasant by this girl. I will not be coming back. I will not recommend this place to any friends or family unless this girl apologize or stops working here.More

You can tick all the boxes for service; overall food quality & taste; & decor (except for the large TV screen over the entrance/exit...perhaps it is there to keep the staff amused during slow times.) The prices are a bit higher than what one might...expect, but worth a visit.More

This has to be the best Indian place I’ve eaten at! I’ve had Indian food in nyc but that doesn’t compare to this beautiful restaurant! Lamb curry is a MUST! The rice was cooked perfect, the curry was very flavorful and the lamb was so...tender. 5 star! Amazing staff (: thank you! I will come backMore

There are many Indian places but this is one of the very very few places to eat a real taste Indian food. Sarso da saag and makke ki roti was amazing when we had it last time. Should not miss there papdi samosa chaat. Great...Ambience as compared to other Indian places. Look for Deepak to chat with about your preferences. Rates on a bit upside.More

We enjoyed all of our courses but as a paneer fan, this was the best Paneer Tikka I have ever had. The food was excellent, service friendly and helpful, very glad we found this restaurant.
