This place was recommended by a local expat so off I went. I researched menus online before booking and decided to go for the Bistro menu. The building itself is very cool and they placed a great set of chilled low volume tunes - which is bonus to be able to hear yourself. I had salted squid for starters. Squid... More

What an amazing experience! This stylish, authentic, traditional restaurant has a unique, tranquil ambience. We were treated to a most delicious meal of Eastern/Western cuisine, friendly, welcoming staff, excellent service and our expectations were more than met in every way possible. Thank you Chinese House. We will most definitely return on our next visit to revisit elegance at its best!

Chinese house was recommended by a friend as one of the top restaurants in Phnom Penh, so our group of 8 people made their way there on a Saturday evening. The decor was stunning and the atmosphere was very pleasant. However, although the restaurant was not particularly busy, the service was very slow and, when the food finally arrived, my... More

A small group of friends shared dinner here a couple of weeks ago and we were not disappointed. The restaurant came recommended by a friend who had lived in PP for two years. We were very happy with the food. If one thing could be improved it would be the attention of the staff in service as one or two... More

What a place!!! Do not judge the book by the cover. Fabulous South African Chef young Lady Emy. A delight for the palate an unusual decoration without ostentation yet beautiful, you feel good as soon as you enter the place. The food and the wine deserve an Epicurean not. I recommend without hesitation.

I had sought out this restaurant after seeing the photos and reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. The restaurant is of course in a beautiful building and the decor is very cool. The ambiance the night we visited was a little off in the sense that there was hardly anyone there..maybe it was the day of the week. The food was... More

This place is exceptional. Truly exceptional. Gorgeous place - both upstairs and down. Lovely ambience, great artwork and beautiful ornaments. Oh but the food. Ok, I tried (in the three times I visited – sadly another place I did not discover until too late in my visit) a few things I did not love – but those I did will... More

This Heritage Chinese home is very spacious, and finished in a very rustic manner, everything made to look extremely old. Be prepared to climb up 2 flights of stairs to the dining area. The diners were mostly expatriates. Chef Emmy from South Africa has interesting ideas. Her Cauliflower with Couscous was tasty n refreshing. The Pork cannelloni lacked originality. The... More

I have been lucky to enjoy Chef Amy Baards Food and the wonderful surroundings of Chinese House on many occasions from Sunday Brunches, many lively diners and Sunday brunches with local and visiting friends and romantic dinners to Christmas lunch in garden with family in 2016. Always a pleasure whatever the occasion. Always a pleasure but last week after delicious... More
