Perfect food with monthly specials, good concept supporting street kids in a nice colonial house! We had the yellow vegetarian curry and a monthly special with mushrooms and were super happy with that!

Our second meal in Phnom Penh was at Romdeng and it was delicious. We had two veggie dishes, one was the curry and the other was a mushroom stir fry. While the curry was good, the stir fry was excellent. And once again the shakes...More

Romdeng was recommended by our taxi and all the positive reviews, so we tried it. The old colonial house with its luxuriant garden and swimming pool made a nice setting for this very touristic restaurant. It collaborates with a training program for local youths. We...More

I went in without a reservation. After a few minutes, I was seated with prompt service. As I was waiting for my food, one of the servers came out from the kitchen with a tarantula on a plate...it hadn't been cooked yet. Yes. They have...More

Worth going to try their Cambodian cuisine. Make reservation as it is usually packed in the evening. Service is fast although the food is more pricey. The more adventurous few should try to eat the tarantulas , as it is quite tasty.

Food and cocktails were great and well priced. Wasn't game enough to try the arachnids but thoroughly enjoyed the pork belly, deep fried whole fish and vegetarian noodle dish. The staff were lovely and the venue was packed. Some great artwork upstairs and the restaurant...More

Great restaurant that supports the local community. I was a little traumatised when the tarantula turned up on my plate of what I thought I'd ordered chicken wings but certainly an experience I won't forget. Booking is essential here I think. Staff very attentive. Great...More

Hello I was there last week, we got a table straight away (2 of us). It was busy though. In regards to the menu I am pretty sure they also had frog and ants along with tarantulas, so unless they’ve changed their menu I... More

Description
Open Monday to Sunday from 11am to 11pm (kitchen closes 10pm) Romdeng is set in a beautiful colonial building whose wooden carvings, tables, chairs and unique lights were all hand made in Cambodia. The silk goods and cushions adorning Romdeng were made by our students in sewing training at Mith Samlanh and its walls are hung with beautiful paintings produced by young people from the art classes there. All of this plus a pool, free WIFI, a family area and a gift shop mean a visit to Romdeng is a must.
