Romdeng is one of the Friends organization’s training, but a little more upscale than Friends (Phnom Penh) or Marum (Siem Reap). The setting is nice in an old house with a peaceful courtyard and porch. The artwork is fun and was all done by students...More

We sat in the garden for a lovely dinner. The spiders were a novelty but the beef and ant dish was the real star. The service was top notch. We also enjoyed the small shop inside after our meal.

This restaurant has a lovely ambience and beautiful traditional Kymer food. It is a training restaurant with excellent attentive service, well located in Ohnom Penh and very well priced meals.

This is quite an original restaurant in which you can discover different aspect of khmer food. Very good but obviously overpriced, as it's a restaurant made for tourists. You can taste tarentulas, as well as crickets, froglets, red ant beef etc. Staff is friendly and...More

We enjoyed our meal here. It was not the absolute best I had in Phnom Penh, but still very good. We were quite conservative with our choices, but saw some of the other options come out ... interesting! I would recommend this restaurant

Expensive for Cambodian food, but lovely place and friendly staff. We tried the red ants with beef and spicy basil, and fish amok. Both dishes very sweet, def need rice to placate the flavours. We didn't cause we already ate and just wanted to try...More

Review does not refer to the food which we did not try, although the menu looked all right. Unfortunatly seems to be "my pick" in lonely planet guide, which we only guessed when we arrived there, as it was close to our hotel.... So, place...More

Quite a touristy restaurant but perfect for trying tarantulas! For $4.50 you can get 3 tarantulas as an appetizer. Beer was inexpensive and cold! It was a great experience! I can now say that I've tried tarantula! Other friends actually ate dinner and they said...More

Description
Open Monday to Sunday from 11am to 11pm (kitchen closes 10pm) Romdeng is set in a beautiful colonial building whose wooden carvings, tables, chairs and unique lights were all hand made in Cambodia. The silk goods and cushions adorning Romdeng were made by our students in sewing training at Mith Samlanh and its walls are hung with beautiful paintings produced by young people from the art classes there. All of this plus a pool, free WIFI, a family area and a gift shop mean a visit to Romdeng is a must.
