For a vegetarian like me it was a challenge to find veg food anywhere in Vietnam. But Namaste India in District 1 Ho chi Minh proved to be a savior. From kadhaai paneer and daal tadka to veg pulao and butter naan, every item on...the menu was outstanding. The portion size is sufficient for two people and the presentation is equally great. They maintain hygiene and is quite popular among take-away joints. We tried Indian food in another restaurant (Ganesh) but was disappointed with low hygiene, small portion size and average taste. At Namaste India, we connected well with the owner who helped us with routes and destinations to visit. It was great to find a fellow Indian and desi food in Vietnam. You cannot miss this one. Namaste India was barely thirty meters from our hotel on the same street where we had lunch and dinner on all four days.More

My husband and I were wanting a change one night in HCMC from the Vietnamese cuisine and did some searching on Trip Advisor looking for a restaurant close by our hotel. The restaurant we had originally chosen was closed when we arrived, but we happened...to stumble across this one a bit further down - and I'm so glad we did! We both shared samosas and a main each with all the accompaniments (rice, naan, pappadums) plus my husband had a couple of beers and I had a soft drink. Once we had finished they bought over a couple of little bowls of rice pudding for us, which was a lovely gesture. All this worked out to be approx $29AUD. We were also given table water, which I've noticed, is not a given there, but we were both a bit hesitant on drinking it and left it there untouched for a bit. The gentleman must have noticed and politely pointed out that they use bottled water and it was safe to drink. Something that I thought was really nice to tell us as he obviously saw we were a bit wary. Food was fantastic too and my husband is a bit fussy at times believe me.. It was just a shame we were leaving to go back the next day as we would have returned again otherwise. Next time!More

Yesterday I found a piece of steel cleaner inside the food I ordered :(:(:( very disappointed especially since I love this restaurant and often eat there. The food taste nice and good service unfortunately if there is steel pieces in the food it’s dangerous /...unhygienic.More

Brilliant food and very friendly staff. We tried 5 dishes and I loved them all. Not to miss if you are in Saigon and are a bit tired of spring rolls and fried rice.
