We had the most wonderful dining experience:- Exceptional service, lovely ambience and comfortable seating. The food however deserves a special mention all to itself! We both shared the "Tale of two cities banquet "Suffice to say it was outstanding, exquisite presentation , taste, textures, flavours,...and quantity was very generous. As foodies we both agree it was the best vegetarian food we have ever had. We definitely recommend this place and will be back !! Thank you for a very enjoyable evening xMore

OK....Where to start .... My wife is a vegetarian, I am not... however, if vegetarian food was this good everywhere I would be a vegetarian already !! We are on holiday and as the food scene in Saigon is so good and so diverse, I...thought there would be some high quality vegetarian restaurants around. I asked around on a locals forum and the name Shamballa came up often so I booked a table I booked the table via 'messenger' and the messages were always answered in a timely manner and very polite and helpful. It happened to be my wife's birthday so I asked if the restaurant could do something special, and they reserved me a great table and added some roses to the table for a more romantic feel. I was very happy with this service, and more importantly, so was my wife ! The design and decoration of the building is first class, and even on a Tuesday night the place was buzzing and the atmosphere was great. 5* review so far and I haven't even mentioned the food yet (it will stay 5*) The menu is extensive and diverse. My wife ordered her food and there were so many options, I was a bit overwhelmed and as a full on vegetarian meal is not my usual taste, I asked the waiter (called Nhut) to help me with some suggestions. We added Nhut's suggestions to our order and when the food arrived it was delicious and beautifully presented. I cannot really say more than that, apart from the cost of the meal was very reasonable for the quality. Thank you Shamballa and thank you Nhut for your special attention, I would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone, and if you are a meat eater and reading this, take a day off and give it a try !!More

Premium food quality, taste and presentation. Service was excellent too. Glad to discover this and will be coming back for the next 4 days as the vegan menu is so extensive. Definitely go.

Great veg restaurant, walking distance from the japanese bridge. Would recommend the fried abalone mushroom, and grilled eggplant dishes. The sauce for the abalone mushroom was nice and it even came with mini green peppercorns which is a rare sight for dishes. The grilled eggplant...had a nice charred taste. Service was great too. To note it is not an air conditioned place but there are cooler fans which suffice. Good ambience with nice soothing vietnamese music playing in the background.More

Nice atmosphere. Good tasty food that are well presented. Creative within vegetarian constraints. Mushroom dishes were good. Yummy desserts. Slightly more expensive than your usual Saigon restaurants but still well recommended.

My title says it all. Value for money is not so good but if money doesn't matter then go for it. Meanwhile, I have interacted with the owner more than once and found her quite abrasive. Simply based on the owner alone, I do not...have any plans to return. There are so many wonderfully pleasant and nice people in HCMC, so I will not support someone who does not understand good customer service and respect for customers.More

Had to introduce my vegan mother to this place. Really enjoyed it last time I was here, and wasn’t disappointed the second time around. Tried out some individual dishes and their vegan set menu, which was clearly indicated to help people with dietary restrictions. There’s...also symbols identifying gluten-free, nut-free, and spicy dishes as well. Didn’t remember what I had particularly last time, so it felt like trying a new place again, and it was wonderful like I remembered. The crispy Abalone mushrooms were a definite winner for me. I enjoyed the meal with a Pho cocktail, which was very aromatic and easy to drink. In the spirit of the Tet season, they were giving out traditional fans to take home as well. My mother got a yellow one with “Prosperity” calligraphed on it. Overall a wonderful time. Definitely will visit again!More
