My journey to this place started in a small restaurant Phú Quốc. I picked up a book written by Tracey Lister. In this cookbook, she shared her passion for KOTO (Know One, Teach One). I was curious. Here was an organization whose mission it was to rescue street kids by training them in the culinary and hospitality arts. Once I... More

After visiting the Temple of Literature, we headed to KOTO, as it's one of the many recommended eating locations in Hanoi. The very busy location is not only an inspiring place filled with a friendly and hardworking staff but has a great selection of local and Western dishes. We decided on a chef's set menu of Vietnamese dishes that included... More

We happened to eat here as it was part of our day tour package Such an average place and wouldn't rate it on bit. This place seemed like they had a tie up with day tour companies as a lot of international tourists seem to be in there after their day tours We were given a set menu and the... More

This place is incredible. Starting with really nice interior, continuing with friendly but not pushy staff, ending with soo delicious food. Very clean, very reasonable prices considering that it's not some street restaurant, plus it's charitable organization which helps children and young adults. Must visit in Hanoi.

My husband saw this in the lonely planet book and we liked the concept so we went for it. There are two parts to the restaurant. One is ultra expensive that has a mix of Vietnamese and international dishes while next door is the more traditional Vietnamese dishes. We opted for the "cheaper one". We ordered the Hanoi fried spring... More

Busy, busy restaurant with non stop tourists during lunch but service was fast and efficient. Good selection of local and Western food with delightful dessert menu. Excellent food quality and presentation, very impressive for a training restaurant. Located just opposite the Temple of Literature which explains the bus loads of tourists during lunch. May be wise to make a reservation.

Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was extraordinary! Every staff member said hello, greeting us with a smile. They were prompt and polite. The food was amazing. KOTO was one of the best places I ate at during my Vietnamese journey.

One of my friends advised me to visit this restaurant? Its a teaching project for streetkids. We ordered fried rice with chicken and the taste was great. Also got a very nice soup. The boys and girls who worked there were very nice and friendly and also one walked outside with us to show us where to go next, the... More

Good food, good concept, good service. We were happy to know the history of the restaurant. I tried Bun Cha which was really nice. I will go back when I visit Hanoi again.
