Egg coffee is a must-try in Vietnam. This coffee shop makes it more interesting by mixing it with either chocolate, green beans, and even rum. There's even egg with beer!

Had various Egg Coffees around Hanoi since it cannot be found elsewhere. We still find Giang Cafe did their egg coffee perfectly. It was smooth, tasty and serve at right temperature. Will drop by again during non-peak periods to have our dose again

Egg Coffee was tasty but we also already had better in HCMC. Unfortunately the place was very messy when we visited. Price was all right.

Whether it was the traditional egg coffee, or the egg coffee with rum, we were never disappointed. Great service, cheap price (was expecting it to be 75,000 VND, but turned out to be that price for three!) and great atmosphere. The silky, creamy texture of...More

Fantastic egg coffee here in a calm setting. Almost a dessert in its own right, Must find the recipe to take home!

I came here just as it was opening, as my last stop before heading to the airport. It felt like a super local joint. Low chairs and tiny tables and egg coffee in a hot water bowl. Yummy! Note that, while it looks like they...More

I tried the egg coffee at a few places in Hanoi, but this was the best. The entrance is narrow and you might miss the place if you dont look carefully. The ambience isnt the best, but the Egg coffee arguably is.

I have recently turned egg coffee connoisseur and was excited to try this famous one here. It was really good. Not overly sweet. Strong coffee at the bottom. Definitely an experience sitting in the little cafe. Price was great. But not the best I’ve had,...More

The egg coffee was really great when we first tried. We purposely went back for second cup on our last day in Hanoi. Their Egg Chocolate drink was not as good as the coffee though. Cozy place. Certainly recommend it!

Egg coffee is incredible. It was so so tasty, not how I’d imagined it but almost a custardy layer on top of your coffee. Must try!!

I'm not sure if they add condensed milk to the egg coffee, what I know is they add the blended egg on top of the coffee. But maybe you can request them your specifications.

Description
Giang Cafe was founded by My Father ,Mr. Nguyen Giang in 1946, when he was working as a bartender for the famous five-star Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi hotel. Although the cafe has been relocated twice, its egg coffee recipe is almost the same as in its early days, with its chief ingredients being chicken egg yolk, Vietnamese coffee powder, sweetened condensed milk, butter and cheese.
