The place is serving the best egg coffe and beer. Taste is very similar to Italian tiramisu. It's made of egg yolks and condensed milk. The cup is deeply in hot water keeping temperature. Beer has such different taste. It's almost like sweet treat after dinner. Family runs business for many years .It's very simple and traditional place.Don't expect some... More

Egg coffee is like tiramisu minus the lady fingers. It's so yummy and this place makes the best cup in Hanoi! The egg chocolate tastes like a whopper with zabaione on top. Wear mosquito repellant if you sit downstairs.

You go into a hallway and it looks like you're headed towards someone's house, but just keep going and you'll see customers and staff starting to materialize. It is a two-story venture, and we were immediately hustled upstairs. Almost all the chairs are tiny, which makes sitting down a wee bit difficult depending on your age or size or physical... More

At first I was skeptical about the idea of an egg coffee. I wondered what was so great about it and why it was still around. Now, I'm a huge fan of egg white cocktails so the fact that an egg is in my drink doesn't phase me. So in exploring and experiencing a new and different culture, I decided... More

Hidden cafe behind shophouses, felt like walking in someone's house. Nice settings open air on 2nd floor. We had egg coffee for the first time, taste was good but way too sweet for me, felt like they put load of condensed milk.

this coffee shop is very small and its all the way behind the small alley and still need to climb up from the stairs. The menus are all on the walls. Their special menus is egg coffee . I tried the hot egg chocolate also. One cup is 25000 vnd. I'm not sure about the price whether it is reasonable... More

Was recommended by my friends, so I wanted to have a try. I really loved both smell and taste of the egg coffee here. Even though I went here in noon time of a regular day, it was still very crowded. It's a good place to try the egg coffee, just not the place you want to stay long for... More

Description
Giang Cafe was founded by My Father ,Mr. Nguyen Giang in 1946, when he was working as a bartender for the famous five-star Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi hotel. Although the cafe has been relocated twice, its egg coffee recipe is almost the same as in its early days, with its chief ingredients being chicken egg yolk, Vietnamese coffee powder, sweetened condensed milk, butter and cheese.
