We had already visited Ca phe Dinh (I think this one was started by the owner's daughter or something to put her own spin on the drink?), so we decided to try this place too. I'm not crazy about egg coffee, or Vietnamese style coffee...More

Old coffee shop opened since 1946 - one of best choice for Hanoi street food tour. I often go there at the weekend, find a table at the corner in the 2nd floor & order a hot egg cofee, famous drink of the shop. They...More

We heard so much about the egg coffee at Giang Cafe that we have to try. It was a little intimidating to go down the small alley, wasn’t sure if this is right place but it was! We sat ourselves down on the first floor...More

Apparently one of the smoothest egg coffee - I don't deny the fact that it's smooth...They also have a few different varieties. I tried both egg coffee and the rum egg coffee which were both really smooth. But the cafe itself is not the best...More

We had been hearing about Egg Coffee and didn't realize we were going to go to such a colorful cafe to try one. Our hotel had recommended this place. Follow the long hallway under the sign off the street and go upstairs to the left....More

Our tour leader took a few of here after having some street food for dinner. I was a little hesitant to try the egg coffee since I'm not a big coffee drinker anyway, but once my friends tasted theirs and swooned over it I had...More

You must know what you are looking for, and we found it! The place famous because of the egg coffee. Well, it was nice, sweet, heavy too and fun to have done, but just for once!

Egg coffee is highly recommend to try. It’ very soft and sweet taste, good experience. The place is very local Vietnamese boutique coffee place and good to hang out.

Café Giang is certainly the master of Vietnamese egg coffee with the secret recipe passing down from Mr. Giang, the founder of this café and a former bartender in 5-star Sofitel Legend Metropole. The surprisingly simple ingredients like the yolk of a chicken egg, Vietnamese...More

Our experience at Giang Cafe was atrocious. Either we were very unlucky, or there is a hype that we don't understand at all. We ordered egg coffees for takeaway. They arrived almost immediately, seemingly prepared in advance, half liquid (you have to like condensed milk...More

I'm not sure if they add condensed milk to the egg coffee, what I know is they add the blended egg on top of the coffee. But maybe you can request them your specifications.

Description
Giang Cafe was founded by My Father ,Mr. Nguyen Giang in 1946, when he was working as a bartender for the famous five-star Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi hotel. Although the cafe has been relocated twice, its egg coffee recipe is almost the same as in its early days, with its chief ingredients being chicken egg yolk, Vietnamese coffee powder, sweetened condensed milk, butter and cheese.
