We came back the the 2nd time but was dissapointed. Stiil felt lovely layout with Buddha statues on the up floor, but food was not good at the time we spent here. Long time to wait for dishes, the fish was not fresh if don't want to say terrible. Will be perfect restaurant in Hanoi if food quality's improved to... More

Were I just rating this for quality of the kitchen I would have given it five stars for excellence. The seafood hot and sour soup was balanced perfectly between the hit and the sour and had fresh quality seafood. My wife had the soft shell crab with tamarind flavor, one of six soft shell crab entrees, and she thought it... More

This was our first chance to eat Vietnamese after flying in from London, so we chose the Club De L'Oriental as it was the closet to our hotel The restaurant was fine, well decorated and we were welcomed with warm smiles The central area has places where you can sit and watch the chefs cook your food which is quite... This restaurant was recommended to us. We were a party of eight who were welcomed by friendly staff. The entrance to the restaurant is impressive. We had a good start to the evening with helpful recommendation by waitress for starters. We enjoyed some delicious spring rolls. Unfortunately the rest of the evening didn't go well. We placed our orders and... More

The restaurant is located about a 5 minute walk away from the Opera House and very central. We ordered the assorted spring roll, duck with mandarin sauce, and chicken, with two drinks. Everything was very good. The price is decent for western standard though expensive by Vietnam standards.

We chose this restaurant for our first meal out in Hanoi on the advice of our tour guide, and the fact that it was located a five minute walk from our hotel. The exterior/entrance looks more like a night club than a restaurant and doesn't provide any indication of what lies beyond; it may even a bit off putting. The... More

The only food I found incredible is salmon and caviar roll. Other food is so meh, plus that the menu is also not that diversed like in other restaurants. But then to make up for the food, the decoration is really nice and classy. It gives off a Vietnamese traditional vibe yet luxury. My boss's family said that it was... More

Starting with the food... the flavours were good, but the execution fell short. The green mango and squid salad was lovely. The slight over-cooking of the squid didn't impact the dish. However, slightly overcooking scallops does seriously impact flavour, especially when they are the clear focus of the dish. The same goes for the main courses. The duck was overcooked,... More

Description
Elegant design with high-ceiling Hue Imperial style dinning rooms, Club De L'Oriental is a part of a veritable empire of mostly upscale authentic Vietnamese restaurants. The restaurant is sectioned into several dinning rooms with distinctive features -decidedly romantic and luxurious for intimate dinning for two, or business parties, or big group's celebrations. The charming courtyard and upper balcony sections are ideally preferred on hot Vietnamese summer evenings.
