This restaurant has been identified as the best pho in Hanoi, couldn’t wait to try as I have become quite a connoisseur over the last month of travels in Vietnam. Unfortunately this restaurant has ceased to operate.

This was highly recommended by the hotel staff, so we tried it out. The line was long, but we were able to get a table at an adjoining restaurant that also served bowls from Pho Gia. The chicken pho was a bit bland, but their...beef pho was flavorful. Might be best to have the beef instead if you plan to eat here. Very affordable too!More

I am writing this after travelling around Vietnam for nearly a month, and hand on the heart, this was the best (and cheapest) Pho we had during our trip - and we tasted more than we could count. The queue outside the small shop alone...was telling of the popularity of the place. Highly recommended if you are travelling to Hanoi!!More

First the good. The pho was the best we’ve had in Vietnam and we’ve been around the country. It was very cheap at 60K VD per bowl. If you are a pho fan then you have to visit this place. Now the downside. They don’t...speak English though there were plenty of customers that do, thankfully. We came in a grabbed a seat and waited to have our order taken to finally find out from a Malaysian family that you have to go order, pay, and get your own food. ??? There’s nothing in English that tells you this. Regardless of the lack of signage we recommend this pho restaurant above any others!!More

Quite crowded and busy but if you are patient everything will be ok. The soup tastes so good and noodles are very fresh. One of famous phở soup restaurants from the old time.

I'm not a fan of noodle soups, but this is different. The broth is tasty and the plentiful meat tender. Twice the price I usually pay for pho, but twice as good too. Try to avoid peak times, the queue can be long and seating...limited, but turnover is quick.More

Place had a line up on multiple times. Best pho so far in Vietnam 🇻🇳. 60,000 x 2 or $3.42 each Cdn. Will be back!

One of the famous beef pho in town with only rare and well done meat. The soup is sweet and nice. Seasoned it with some vinegar and chill to bring out the flavor. It’s a nice bowl of soup noodle to warm your stomach in...the morning. Love.More

Best beef pho! We arrived at 5pm to avoid the long line. There’s 3 choices of beef and you can order a side of fried doughnut to dip in the delicious broth.

I had Gia Truyen the day after Pho Thin. It was difficult to select which was better. The queue was long but fast. The only issue was finding a seat. Lucky most ate fast and move on. There was some unwritten rule to make way...for others. Nice! I got the Special, the meat cut was better than Pho Thin. Slightly less of those tough beef and more brisket type. Tender and flavorful. The soup was more oily but still sweet and satisfying. I concluded vietnamese really know how to cook beef pho. I tried the soup with a fried dough. That dough soaked up that amazing soup and filled my mouth w it. It was quite an amazing feeling chewing on it and squeezing out the soup. I preferred the pho texture at Pho Thin. But Gia Truyen has better and more beef. It was a tough fight between them. I thk overall i prefer Pho Thin but Gia Truyen is a close second. Very good very good. Must try.More
